Jerry and Bertha Miller established Miller's Shady Oaks Pizza Deli in Cave Junction in June of 1975. In 1994 we opened the Wild River Pub in Grants Pass.

We expanded to Brookings-Harbor in 1980 where son Darrel and his wife Becky manage the restaurant. With the theme "Blame us if your life goes to Pizzas", we have always put our energy, resources, and imaginations to the test creating great food from fresh ingredients. With an interest in old world crafts and a desire to add beverages that matched the flavor and quality of the foods in our restaurants, we ventured into the brewing world. And so in 1990, using the name Steelhead Brewery, we began brewing our award winning beer. Our desire to build an establishment using new ideas and concepts in the restaurant and brewing industry led to the birth of our Grants Pass facility. There we had space to install old-world wood-fired ovens and a 15 BBL brewhouse with five fermenting tanks, four bright beer tanks, and a bottling line capable of 1800 BBL per year. Back when the idea for the Grants Pass expansion was germinating, we were having an identity crisis with the name of our business. The name "Pizza Deli" was a generic term and we wanted a name that would reflect the fact that we were also a brewery (remember that up until then, we had used the name Steelhead Brewery). Hence, in 1994, Wild River Brewing & Pizza Company was chosen as our new identity. Being in the heart of beautiful river country in Southern Oregon made it a natural choice. The Wild River Pub also has a large Publick House area that is designed for receptions, meetings, conferences, and any function where a large group of people can gather and enjoy a great meal. Our newest location is in Medford. The perfect blend of great food in a casual family setting or great micro-brews on tap in the bar section, you can have both at Wild River Medford. The wood-fired ovens and cooking areas are clearly visible, welcoming you into the restaurant. We would like to thank all of our loyal customers who continue to make Wild River a success. It’s part tribute concert, part stand-up comedy show, and all-out rock ’n’ roll chaos.

A one-man rock ’n’ roll circus, Jack brings together the spirit of Weird Al, the presence of a full rock band, and razor-sharp wit for a high-energy performance that is as unpredictable as it is unforgettable.

🍺 BREWERY HIGHLIGHT: DOUBLE EAGLE STOUT. Every Wild River b**r is brewed in-house, and each one is an original that is crafted by our own brewing team!

Imperial stouts were once brewed in Britain for export to the royal courts of the Russian Czars. Double Eagle is our tip of the hat to those early brewers, inspired by an 1880 Whitbread Triple Stout recipe.

Big and black with garnet highlights, this bold stout offers layers of malty complexity, warming alcohol and a touch of floral hop character.

At 8.4% ABV and 48 IBU, Double Eagle is the perfect match for your favorite chocolate dessert, or rich enough to be dessert all on its own.

☀️ Golden, tropical and packed with flavor: this is summer in a can, El Dorado IPA.

El Dorado IPA brings together Eureka hops and concentrated El Dorado lupulin pellets for a vibrant mix of tropical fruit, juicy hop flavor and a resinous finish. This newer hop technology separates and concentrates the flavor-rich lupulin, allowing our brewers to bring even more hop character to every pour.

Coming in at 5.6% ABV and 55 IBU, it’s bold and flavorful while remaining perfectly suited for warm afternoons, river days and evenings around the barbecue.

Like every Wild River b**r, El Dorado IPA is our own original creation, brewed right here in-house and available to enjoy in cans!
