Ten years ago, Cones for a Cause started with a simple question: Should we offer dessert? 🍦

Old Scratch owners, Stephanie and Eric Soller, landed on soft serve, with free cones and the option for guests to make a small donation to a local organization each month. What started as a simple compromise has grown into a grant program that allows us to give back in an even bigger way.

For Stephanie, Cones for a Cause Founder, the most meaningful part has always been getting to know the people behind each organization, hearing their stories, and sharing the incredible work they do with our community. Over the years, those connections have opened our eyes to the many needs around us and the people working every day to make a difference.

That impact is made possible by you. Every donation represents someone choosing to help, and we don't take that generosity for granted. We're grateful to our guests who give, our crew who make cone after cone, and everyone who has helped turn this little idea into something so meaningful.

🎉 10 YEARS OF OLD SCRATCH PIZZA! 🍕
On October 18, 2016, we opened our doors with one location, two ovens, and a simple belief: Dayton deserved world-class pizza.

From day one, we believed great food didn't have to be pretentious. That a restaurant could serve exceptional pizza made with Neapolitan technique, premium ingredients, and no shortcuts, while still being a place where everyone feels welcome. A place to bring the whole family, gather around the table, and feel right at home.

Today, we're celebrating 10 years of making that vision a reality. We've made more pizzas than we ever imagined, grown to four locations across the Miami Valley, and we're getting ready to bring the Old Scratch experience to Columbus with our fifth location soon! Through it all, we've kept the fire burning and stayed true to what we set out to do: make great pizza for great people.

But none of this would be possible without the people who've been part of our story. To every guest who's walked through our doors, every crew member who's helped us grow, and every person who's supported us throughout the years, thank you. ❤️

We're grateful for every visit, every pizza shared, and every memory made over the past decade. Thank you for being part of our first 10 years. We can't wait to see what the next 10 bring!

It feels like just yesterday we were hauling in our pizza sign and opening the doors to our Dayton location. And now, here we are, a decade later!

We wouldn’t be where we are today without the incredible community that has supported us and the amazing crew who have been part of our journey. You’ve helped us grow into something bigger than we ever imagined, and we’re so grateful for every bit of it.

10 years of pizza, memories, hard work, and a bunch of cool kids making dreams come true. 😎 🍕 I’d say we’ve built ourselves a pretty awesome crew.
