Driven by love and respect for the environment, Ryan and Andrea Romeyn have been immersed in organic agriculture since 1998 and operating a veggie & meat subscription service for people in northern Michigan since 2002. We grow over 200 varieties of certified organic vegetables, popular herbs, and strawberries. We also grow small herds of grassfed Belted Galloway beef, Katahdin meat lamb & pastured

IPP pork. of all the different breeds we've raised over the years!)

We offer a multi-farm subscription service (traditionally known as a CSA - Community Supported Agriculture), offering items from our farm as well as our friend's farms for pick-up or delivery, (all local chicken, turkey, blueberries and more!). You can choose the amount of weeks you want! "Winter - Spring" Shares run December - May! You can purchase our produce through our CSA (community supported agriculture) garden share program, (we deliver to Bellaire, East Jordan, Petoskey, Beaver Island, Charlevoix, Gaylord, Elk Rapids, Traverse City, Boyne City), our roadside market, or at our area summer - fall farm markets: Thur. (Charlevoix), Fri. (Elk Rapids), Wed. & Sat. (Boyne City or Traverse City). We also have an initiative called "Share the Harvest" through Good Samaritan Food Pantry. We partner with customers to help families in need gain access to our fresh, local organic food. We've also opened an on-farm market, farm-to-table café, and natural foods store, open 6 days a week, where you can find all of our products, 13 local farmers' products, over 40 local vendors products, and much more. We are looking for a Wash Pack Crew Member :)

Play a key role in receiving harvested produce from our fields, processing and packaging to send out to our CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) and wholesale customers.

In this detail-oriented position, you will be responsible to efficiently washing and packing produce while maintaining food safety standards.

Your positive attitude and effective communication will be key in our commitment to quality.

This paid position offers an engaging environment where teamwork and a proactive attitude are celebrated!

Responsibilities
- Execute processes for washing and packing vegetables
- Maintain Providence’s standards of quality for wholesale and CSA customers
- Responsible use and cleaning of wash pack equipment
- Be aware and Uphold Food Safety Standards
- Communicate effectively with other team members and manager

Skills
- Strong (able to lift 50 pounds) with ability to work on your feet for a full shift
- Positive Attitude
- Effective communicator
- Loves working with hands and with fresh produce
- Consistently shows up, dependable

Measurables
- CSA & Wholesale orders filled efficiently and accurately at the highest quality
- Less than 3% misses on all orders
- Successful USDA and Food Safety Checks

Hours and Pay
20-40 hours a weeks, starting at $16.00/hr

Hi Folks! We have some news:

1. Summer Hours are in effect starting Friday, May 22nd, we are open:
8:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Monday - Saturday

2. Due to it's popularity as the most authentic Mexican Food in northern Michigan (according to customers!), Pop-Ups will now be on both: Fridays AND Saturdays, starting this Friday, May 22nd. As always featuring organic produce and grassfed meats.

3. Asparagus is IN:

4. This Saturday, May 23rd, I will have two Farm Tours to see baby piggies, cows and the beaver dam: 10:00 AM & 1:00 PM

5. Join us on Friday, May 29th, 7:00 PM, for a fabulous 4 course, TRUE farm-to-table dinner, at the actual farm that grew your food. ;)

We will be having our forest-raised pork, Venezuelan style, which honestly is just WOW!
