The greens are coming in better than we could have hoped. Every week they’re getting thicker, smoother, and faster, and it’s exciting to watch them take shape.
The fairways, though… they’re reminding us that building a golf course isn’t as simple as planting grass.
Not long ago, much of this property was covered in trees. That means we’re dealing with years of compacted soil, different grass varieties, roots, rocks, drainage challenges, and areas where grass just doesn’t want to take off yet. Some spots are lush, while others are still fighting to fill in.
Could we have waited another year to open? Sure. But we wanted to bring this place back to life and let everyone be part of the journey.
We’re out here every single day aerating, topdressing, fertilizing, watering, and doing everything we can to create a course our community will be proud of.
We appreciate everyone who’s supported us, offered advice, and been patient as we turn an abandoned property into something special.
The greens are proof that the process works. The fairways will get there too. 🌱💚
