We had the honor of catering a milestone anniversary (25 years) for a company we’ve personally admired the work of for years without actually knowing the hands behind it. To tell the story we have to go back a bit.
Our home in New Orleans was a block away from City Park. We spent many days in the park with the kids - enjoying the playgrounds, the antique carousel, the fields, the bike paths and especially the Sculpture Garden at NOMA. When the Sculpture Garden announced its expansion, we eagerly watched the progress, and when it opened (it’s completely FREE to enter BTW) we were in awe of how they connected the old garden to the new with this amazing bridge that dips into the earth and brings you parallel to the lagoon. We were in awe of it all actually. It has remained one of our special places and we visit it at least one time on every trip to New Orleans.
Then we moved to Massachusetts and found our new special spots, including the outdoor space at the Clark Art museum and the beautiful reflecting pool, as well as the amazing suspension bridge TOURISTS and all of their very cool outdoor spaces (if you haven’t been to one of their Sing for your Slumber concerts you’re missing out!)
The hand behind all of these projects is the extremely talented team Reed Hilderbrand and somehow they wanted little ole us to cater their milestone event at the Arnold Arboretum in Boston. We are beyond honored that we got to help them celebrate. We only wish that we captured a few more photos.
