If you’ve been to one of our pop-ups you likely know a few things:
1. It’s a family business, literally. Everyone in our family pitches in to make them happen. From our daughter Juju running tickets to the kitchen, to our son Anders running food to our son James washing dishes. And then of course there is Levi on the line and me (Wesley) out front taking your orders. We are family working hard to make a living and you, our wonderful guests make that possible.
2. Our pop-ups are about more than just serving good food. They are about serving hospitality to EVERYONE. We hold sacred the ability to create an atmosphere that makes each and every one of our guests feel welcome and special. Because you are! And we all deserve to go to our safe “third spaces” the kind of places that feed much more than our bellies.
3. These pop-ups are about community and building community. I can’t tell you how much joy it brings us to see people make new friends in the line, or reunite with neighbors across the table. We’re experiencing some really dark days and communing as a community at small, locally owned businesses is one small step we can make to give the finger to greedy corporations who don’t care to know your name, they just want your dollars.
Take a respite this weekend and join us for an hour or two. Open Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 2pm.
