It is time for something ELSE.
This is our last week to drop cupcakes off at Maria’s…
I have been baking, caking, and small biz hustling for almost 15 years. 😅
I have met so many AMAZING people and honestly quite a few a$$holes.
I have learned some people only want to be your friend while your business is booming and the moment it stops so do they 🤷♀️ and some stay with you until the end.
I had a booming shop in Charles Town then paused to move to Europe. Came back and tried a mini shop but it wasn’t for us. I have sold cake from my front door, porch during the pandemic, delivered states away, and had my cake go on a plane flying to happy clients in California, Washington, Florida, Arkansas etc… I made cake for our military families stationed in Germany.
Some years I did two weddings a weekend. I honestly cannot say how many 2-3am work nights I had clocking in 18-20 hour work days.
I built a business while I raised 3 babies. I might have created little food snobs 😂
I taught culinary through an HBO show for a bit….
Now that my kids are older I think it is time for something else.
As for this lovely page I built I think we should turn it into a Free Q&A about baking, decorating and cooking. I want to give back to the community I have built by giving you my knowledge. Look for conversation starter posts and feel free to post a question 🙋♀️ 🍪🥖
As for me, I’ve already started continuing education to dive deep into another industry that is a passion of mine. My time will be devoted to my studies and research for a while. I can’t say thank you enough to all my lovely clients, fellow business owners and friends that have been there for me on this wild culinary ride 🤗 I love our little piece of the world xoxo- Danie
