Wrapped up another outstanding semester at Clemson. Tails Wagon and Clemson have collaborated for 3+ years on recipes for dog (and cat!) treats. Thanks to Dr. Jim Strickland for the partnership. These students will be outstanding veterinarians I have no doubt!

ROTW 4 presented by Crews Subaru is just days away (!) and we wanted to share a few updates.

Race times are delayed as we wrap up all entry fees today. They will be released tomorrow.

We are still accepting alternatives until Noon tomorrow.

KEEP IN MIND THE SWEETGRASS HALF MARATHON IS THAT MORNING.

Follow signs directing you to parking. The first and main entrance will be open this year as they midified the course.

The event starts at 11AM and is Dog friendly and family friendly with face painting, balloon animals, in addition to entertainment from our friends at Charleston Radio Group. And lots of food and adult beverages.

Adopt your new best friend from our partners at Meowdog Animal Rescue, an outstanding outfit you should get to know!

There will be 6 thrilling races for qualifying heats and the championship race for $500.

The event will end at 3pm.

Race Applicants Accepted 10AM 2/8/25 UNTIL THE FIELD OF 36 IS FULL. We will have 6 alternate positions- there is a good chance you will have a chance to race even if you're an alternate.

Hey again, everyone! These are the pets I brought to Clemson with me! I have had Two Face and Artemis for 3 years, as they are my boyfriend’s dogs. Despite not originally being mine, I love them like they were always mine! I brought Hera home February of 2023 after she, along with Calypso, showed up at my mom’s doorstep in December of 2022 and never left. I brought Calypso home shortly after, in May of 2023. Ilithyria, or Illie, is Hera’s kitten. She was born just a couple of weeks after bringing Calypso home. couldn’t get rid of her. She’s our curious cat that doesn’t fear anything. I had to slip my bald man in there as he might as well be my pet, lol. I have many more animals at home, such as deer, squirrels, a cow, donkeys, another dog, etc., but I knew I wouldn’t have room to fit all of their pictures or their information into one little post!

Welcome back! Alex here. All of my past and current pets have been rescues (adopt not shop)! My four current pets are displayed in slide two of this post. Via and Nugget were surrendered to my job, U*i was surrendered to a pet store, and I found Coraline up a tree in my backyard. Outside of my current animals, I have owned several types of snakes, lizards, and turtles/tortoises, fish, dogs, scorpions, spiders, and prairie dogs. Let me address what some of you might be thinking- yes, a huge snake! No, I am not crazy! Via is super docile, and she likes to sit on the couch and watch television with me. Sometimes I will take her outside to sunbathe!

Good afternoon! ☻ We are team 4, working under Dr. Strickland to create Hog Heaven Liver-Lovin’ Strips, a tasty treat featuring pig liver for dogs of all sizes and breeds.

Hi!! My name is Anna-Frances Reinert, and I am studying Animal Veterinary Sciences at Clemson University. I am from Anderson, South Carolina, so I am pretty close to home. My goal is to become a veterinarian, but I haven’t decided what field I want to go into. Growing up, I have always had dogs, so it has been fun learning how impactful nutrition is for animals and the process of creating new healthy treats through Tails Wagon!

Hey everyone! My name is Ashley Stone! I am from Ridge Spring, SC and I am an Animal Sciences major with a Pre-Veterinary concentration and will be receiving my diploma this upcoming May. I work at Banfield Hospital and co-own a wildlife rescue and rehabilitation center that mainly focuses on deer and squirrels back in my hometown. I am an aspiring mixed-animal veterinarian, which I have wanted to be since I was a child.

Hello! My name is Alex Nicole Needham and I am set to graduate from Clemson University in August with a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Veterinary Science. I have lived all over the country, but am most recently from Jacksonville, Florida. My first two years of college were at Florida Gulf Coast University studying animal biology. While down there, I worked at the Wonder Gardens, a rehabilitation zoo for exotic animals. While at Clemson, I have worked at the Clemson University Equine Center. I have research background in aquaponics, music, and animal behavior, and am excited to add Tail’s Wagon to that list! In the future, I aspire to be accepting into UGA’s DVM program and become a mixed animal vet.
