This sweet babe is having her first birthday this weekend and me and Papaw offered to cater it for her. We are so excited to see her and celebrate her special day. I’ll be posting all the fun details from the party next week.
See you soon Rynlee. We’re ready to

Once upon a time, I dabbled in photography. One of my first and best customers was this sweet boy (along with Mom and Grandma). On his first session we did some cute pics and at the end while he was sitting in this basket, I put Charlie Brown beside him. It turned out to be one of our favorite pics. They came back every 3 months and I always figured out a way to work in Charlie Brown. He was such a good baby and literally let us do whatever we wanted…and we did, lol. Then today I noticed his grandma posted this pic “11 years later”. First of all, it doesn’t seem that long ago and second, I’m trying to figure out how I’m going to get back into photography again and come up with a Charlie Brown theme for his senior pics! Hahaha!
Thank you Pam and Kara for trusting me to come up with creative fun sessions for this little guy. It was so fun!
Funny thing, a few weeks ago I did a catering job for Kenna Elementary. One of the mothers came up to me and said “this might be crazy but I think you were the photographer at our wedding 12 years ago. I remembered her and said “Yep, that was me!” Haha it really is a small world!
Caterer, photographer, personal assistant…one of these days I’ll figure out what I want to be when I grow up. 🤣 Until then, I’ll just keep having fun!

I haven’t forgotten about having Jr Chef classes this summer. May is EXTREMELY busy and June has started the same. I have made some calls and waiting to talk to another (hopefully tomorrow) then I should have an idea on dates. I’m hoping to have the first one the last full week in June (the 22nd - 26th). So stay tuned!!!

***COOKING CAMP INFO BELOW***
The response to my post about a summer cooking camp was amazing. I am posting now with some questions at the bottom. If you are interested in cooking camp, try to answer them. It will help me know about how to schedule and prepare camp. There are a couple different ways to go about it and I’ll do my best to have more than one so that anyone interested can attend. Thanks for the feedback and I’m super excited.
1. Do you prefer a day or evening class?
2. Many will be on vacay this summer. What month(s) and week(s) would be best for you?
3. I would like to have a 4 hour class, obviously there will be breaks and fun things and they will also be fed. If it were a daytime class, would starting in the AM like 9, or a noon start be best?
4. If you work during the day, would a before and after care help your child be able to attend?
5. If it were an evening class, is 4 pm a good start time?
6. Any question for me?
I think Ive covered all the bases, lol. When I’m going into planning mode, the more info I have up front, the better 😁 I may go ahead and send this to many of you that messaged me.
You can probably tell from the little graphic I posted, this will be more than just cooking. It will be creating confidence, not just in the kitchen but in themselves! I have so many ideas for Jr Chef Classes, so if it goes well, I will definitely have some other kids classes coming!
If you have friends with kids that may be interested, please share or tag them below!
Now, who’s ready to be a Saving Thyme Junior Chef???

On a totally different note, they should really serve drinks at the Civic Center during graduation, lol. Not alcohol, but a water or soft drink would be nice. Heck I would even have enjoyed some nachos or hot dog, lol. But of course I think everything is better with food…😂

This little boy will be walking across the big stage tonight and it’s hard to believe we’re actually here. Time goes by too fast! Sometimes I feel like Roman was slighted, or even robbed of some of his childhood. That happens when you are raised by an “only parent”, at least that’s what I call it. Meaning it was just me. I made all the decisions, I made all the mistakes, I made some fun times and some bad. When you’re an only parent, everything falls back on you and Roman had to grow up much faster than other kids his age because of that. We didn’t take many vacations, I wasn’t at school functions (Mamaw Kay always was though) because of work. You missed out on things your friends were doing because a single income family isn’t easy. In many ways I feel like I failed you, but somehow through it all, you turned into the most amazing young man and I love you more than you’ll ever know. Great things are ahead for you and I can’t wait to witness them all.
Congratulation, ❤️
