Some of you may have seen, noticed or heard but let us tell the right story. When the Radiator Grill formally know as Bob And Wanda’s came to town we had a lot of great help from mentors to lawn work. Said owner decided she was done working and wanted to retire shortly after. We had done relocated to Charleston and signed a year lease on a house! There wasn’t many other thoughts or choices but to “make it work”! Well truthfully we did, for over a long bumpy year. This was never our goal or even planned, but when an opportunity so good falls in your lap you take it! Why not be 27 and not have a boss. Who wouldn’t love that?! If the only thing I received was just the experience then I’ll happily take it. Not many people our age or older could’ve done what we were doing. We are young so of course we are very hard headed but we aren’t stupid. We have mutually decided that the “game” some people wanted to play just wasn’t fun and perceived as bullying. We never seen any one as competition or tried to step on toes. That did light a fire under us though. With losing overpriced, rented equipment we now own our very own. Bought and paid for. No more monthly payment spent for equipment. We were not perfect and never claimed to be. We had good days and bad days. We had days with limited inventory and staff. Not necessarily our own fault. We are young. Probably around some of your children’s age, but We were just “making it work”. We tried to accommodate the community any way we possible from charging meals, to lending a helping hand when they might’ve needed us. Everything in life is easier said than done and honestly until you’ve done it, it doesn’t matter what you would’ve done. Anyone that’s been in our shoes old or young knows how this industry CONSUMES your life. With us being as young as we are we have decided that we are going to live OUR lives and do for US! Life is too short to try as hard as we were with so little reward. But after everything we did accomplish in the year plus we’ve decided to close the Radiator Grill. With all this being said our last day was July 2nd 2023. I do need to apologize for our amazing fan base that probably had more faith in us then we did ourselves at times! Without them we probably wouldn’t have made it this long. They say one bad apple will spoil the bunch. Again I apologize to the ones that really wanted us to succeed. We did succeed in so many ways other than time. A open sign on the door and daily customer doesn’t define success. To the ones that were great full just keep an eye out for us. Never know where we might end up next. This isn’t over just a new chapter.
Sincerely Thank you.
Radiator Grill Management!
