Meet Jolie! 👋

Born and raised in Charleston, Jolie has been part of the Merc & Mash team for three years, bringing creativity and care to every pastry she makes.

Her passion for baking began as a child, inspired by Food Network shows and countless hours spent making pretend cakes out of playdough. From an early age, she knew this was what she was meant to do.

Jolie loves the fast pace of Merc & Mash and the opportunity to learn about pastries from different cuisines while embracing new creative challenges. But her favorite part of the job is the team, who she says feel more like siblings than coworkers. She also looks up to Executive Chef Ashley Cardona for her inspiring leadership and starts every shift with a hot vanilla latte in hand.

We're so grateful for everything you do, Jolie. Thanks for making Merc & Mash a little sweeter every day! 🤍

Tomato, tomato. 🍅

When heirloom tomatoes are at their peak, they deserve the spotlight. Our Heirloom Tomato Sandwich layers locally grown tomatoes from with arugula, harissa aioli, crispy shallots, and homemade sourdough for a bite that tastes like summer in Charleston.

The only question is: are you pairing it with an iced latte or our sparkling peach tea?
