Chef Tee has long been devoted to sharing the rich culinary traditions of Southeast Asia. In the past, she successfully operated two beloved restaurants: LannaThai in Ashley Phosphate and Pho Bowl in Goose Creek, both of which she has since passed on to her nieces and nephews to continue the family legacy.

Now, recognizing the vibrant and growing community in West Ashley, Chef Tee is excited to introduce a new chapter — bringing together the fragrant, light, and soulful flavors of authentic Vietnamese cuisine with the bold, colorful, and comforting dishes of traditional Thai cooking. Every bowl of pho and every fresh spring roll reflects her lifelong dedication to food made with heart, heritage, and authenticity.

This was an awesome experience. Really incredible bowl of soup. Nice broth. Light, fresh noodles. Very well-balanced.

This was the absolute best poké I have ever had. I have never had tuna that tasted this fresh. The staff were all super happy and on point, great reggae was playing, very attractive humans kept coming through the door like a movie scene, great reggae was playing... this place is so dialed in. It makes other poké places seem fake. I have had some iffy poké bowls in Charleston where the ingredients and fish all felt... meh. This was the opposite of that experience. If you are in Nashville... highly recommended for a healthy meal experience. Great reggae music, too!

I walked in at maybe 4:30. The staff were rolling silverware. I saw a woman walk out of the kitchen with what looked like a bloody cut of tenderloin on a silver tray. So odd. She laid it down so nonchalantly that it caught my eye. I am seated. My order is taken. Yuk G*e Jang. The server reappears with the silver tray and a pair of scissors. She leans forward and asks, "Kimchi?" I reply, "Yes, please!" She cuts well-portioned slices off a huge wedge of kimchi for me tableside. I felt like a little kid. It was amazing kimchi. She said they make it and the dumplings everyday. The soup (Yuk G*e Jang), the dumplings (Mandu), and the service were all so incredible. I cannot recommend this place enough.

I usually have 2 or 3 gigs in Florida every year. On longer drives like this I tend to stop somewhere and have a nice, interesting meal. While getting gas I searched for "Korean restaurants" inside Google maps. I found a lot around Jacksonville, and I saw this kne on the tip of my screen called Hwang Keum Jung. 500 reviews, 4.8, looked old and in a 1980's strip mall, run by grandparents.... all boxed checked off and I went for it 2.5 hours away. I knew immediately... I had Yuk G*e Jang, and talked about kimchi and makgeolli with the owner. She said she makes kimchi every morning or every other morning because they sell out. She showed me her ban chan and array of kimchee at checkout.. I bought a gallon of green kimchi. I should have bought some of the green onion kimchi. She said it is only in the springtime. Absolutely phenomenal restaurant. 30 years old. Deserves an award or some notoriety... You must stop here if travelling through Florida. Much better than Bucee's. Promise.
