Came off a 48 hour shift, hopped in the truck for a 3 and a half hour drive to Harrisburg NC for the Bar-B-Brew competition. We had a solid cook and pulled out a 1st place ribs, 3rd place pork and Reserve Grand Champion. Congrats to the Rusty Porker on Grand, on his first place pork call. Congrats to all who received calls. Made it home and cleaned up. Next comp in 2 weeks on James Island

Not a bad showing but not great. We managed a 3rd place pork call. 9th place ribs, pretty sure i know what happened. And the bacon wrapped oreos came in 5th. Congrats to Not yet famous BBQ on Grand and my boy Steve from on reserve. Congrats to everyone who got calls today

Today we took a short trip to Moncks Corner for a1 day comp consisting of ribs and chicken. We managed a 2nd, place chicken, 3rd ribs and 3rd overall. Congrats to In the Army Que on Grand and Ultimate Tailgaters on Reserve

The everyday rub doesn't only get used on the smoker. Turkey breast seasoned with everyday rub and put in the oven. Pulled at 155 degrees and let rest for 10 minutes. Deli tender and juicy.
