Hi everyone,

If you’ve spent any time at The Break on James Island over the last 10+ years, you probably know Dickey. He’s the big guy with the quick wit, a quirky personality, and the kind of smart where he knows a little about everything. He also has this way of making people laugh without even trying. He truly makes everyone feel welcome, and we love him so much.

On April 22, 2026, Dickey had a sudden medical emergency that led to the amputation of his foot. He’s going to be okay, but it’s been incredibly hard, and the road ahead will take time as he heals and recovers. We’re asking for help to support him during this time. Any donation, no matter the amount, would mean so much and will go toward medical bills and helping him while he’s out of work. If you’re not able to give, sharing this would truly mean everything.
