We’re firing things up for **dinner service from 4PM–8PM** out at **221 Carlton Rd** — come hungry.

After a lot of thought, we’ve made the difficult decision to pause operations at Pit & Pastry.

With the rising cost of meats, ingredients, and supplies, it’s become increasingly difficult to continue operating in a way that meets the standards we’ve set for ourselves.

What started as an idea turned into something we’re incredibly proud of — long nights at the smoker, early mornings at markets, and the opportunity to share our food with this community meant everything to us.

To everyone who supported us, ordered from us, stopped by, or followed along — thank you. You helped bring this vision to life.

This isn’t goodbye — just a pause.

We’re taking time to regroup, reset, and figure out what the next chapter of Pit & Pastry looks like.

We’ll also be selling off a portion of our equipment, so please keep an eye on our Facebook and Instagram pages for more details in the coming days.

❄️ **WEATHER UPDATE FROM PIT & PASTRY** ❄️

Well… Mother Nature really doubled down on us this weekend.

Due to the snowfall, **Charlottesville’s Grand Illumination tonight is cancelled**, and **Four County Players’ Holiday Bazaar tomorrow in Barboursville is also cancelled**. Not the news any of us wanted, but safety comes first.

But don’t worry — we’re not going into hibernation.
We’re just shifting gears. ⚙️🔥

**This Saturday, you can still find Pit & Pastry at the Water Street Holiday Market**, serving up the goods to keep you warm:

After months of wandering the BBQ wilderness,(getting inspiration in Charleston last week) Pit & Pastry is officially BACK at the Charlottesville City Market for a two-week comeback tour — and yes, the brisket has been training for this moment. 💪🍖
