Hour Place Restaurant is a family owned local eatery with roots in traditional southern cooking. In August of 2007, Steven and Christina Boyd found a “restaurant for sale” ad in the Chattanooga Times Free Press. Within two months (and after secretly cracking open their kids’ piggy banks to pay for their first food order), Hour Place Restaurant was open for business under the Boyd family. Through t

The rumors are true! The Boyds have left the building. Just a few weeks ago, we sold Hour Place. We are humbled and grateful for the support we have received from our Erlanger family and beyond over the last 17.5 years. You kept us open through the 2008 recession and the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, and not many restaurants are lucky enough to have survived both.

Stop by and meet the new owners: Tim and Rebekah Moughon. We wish them many years of success as they carry on the Boyd’s legacy of delicious food and excellent customer service.

New Year, New Job! Hour Place Restaurant is looking to fill a FOH position: Monday through Friday, roughly 10:30 AM to 4:00 PM. (give or take) No nights, weekends, or holidays. Family owned business, No drug tests, No HR department, No Corporate BS. We are a busy breakfast and lunch place located inside Erlangers Medical Mall on 3rd Street, near CSAS, Hamilton County Health Department, and just a hop and skip from downtown.
