What fun to talk about our shop project with a real, live journalist!

This short segment is focused on our little village of Chelsea, VT, and features Free Verse co-owners Taylor & Misha as well as our good friend Kate Maclean, the Chelsea librarian.

We're thrilled to be featured alongside Kate, as we three are Chelsea, VT lovers who could talk all day about what we like about living here. Plus, the shop & the library are right next to each other, so we get to see each other a lot and stay in touch about what's going down in town!

Picture it: in the summer, the farmer's market is bustling on the green across from the shop, live music drifting into the warm air. In the fall, we all watch as the tourists park to photograph the changing leaves on the trees around the green and pop into Will's for an ice cream. During the winter, the town is blanketed in snow, the church bell chiming its hourly song among chimneys pumping out smoke. And in all seasons, we're bumping into our neighbors and friends on our way to the post office or the bank, or laughing with someone on our way into or out of the shop.

This newsletter isn't technically an advertisement for living rurally, but we must admit: we love living here.

The Free Verse Farm Shop in town is OPEN today, though our online shop is closed as a part of the General Strike.

We made this decision based on our goals of consistently feeding and nourishing our community, while still standing in solidarity with the protest against ICE violence and human rights violations. We will be donating a quarter of our net profits today from the shop to .
