Can we all agree on this?

That a Sunday Roast is the cosiest, most autumnal plate available to humanity?

Charcoal-roasted rump or sirloin. Dry-aged, native-breed glory, cooked to pink infinity.

Surrounded by equally adored trimmings. And a mountainous Yorkie.

Finished with umami-bomb bone-marrow gravy.

What does your pud choice say about you?

Carla had fun making these seasonal treats and we had fun imagining who’d order them.

Welcome to our entirely unscientific pub pud psychology:

🍊 Spiced marmalade pudding – The old soul

Likes a proper pub, a good book and a stiff drink. Has strong opinions about the correct way to make tea.

🍫 Hot chocolate tart – The hedonist

Life’s too short for moderation. Orders another bottle of red – with dessert. Doesn’t care a hoot.

🍋 Yoghurt & lemon pavlova – The social butterfly

Always has three things planned for Saturday. Probably organised tonight’s dinner.

🫐 Blackcurrant whipped cheesecake – The dark horse

Doesn’t say much at dinner but when they do everyone listens. Excellent taste in music!

You have 3 days left!

Then ’s bacon double cheese BURGURR is gone.

Last day is this Saturday 31st October.

Then we’re putting it behind glass in the (imaginary) Hawksmoor Hall of Flame.

Best place to get it?

Choosing a steak can be tricky. Here’s a little guide 👇

🥩 Love a tender steak?

Go for the 1855 Black Angus filet from the Great Plains. Delicate flavour, beautifully soft texture and less fat than a greyhound.

🔥 Want big, beefy flavor?

Dry-aged porterhouse or long-bone rib chop from Chatel Farms in Georgia. Rich, savory and big enough to share.

🤤 How about rich and buttery?

The 100% grass-fed Tasmanian Wagyu strip is your friend. Gorgeous marbling, complex flavor, extraordinary tenderness.

Still can’t decide? Ask us. We LOVE talking about steak.

10/27/2026

Strongbow?!

A man of many surprises, our . 😉

And , we couldn’t agree more with your shout-out.

Here are three more pubs we love:

❶ – for the beef cheek and Guinness suet pudding.

❷ – for the slow-cooked lamb shoulder.

❸ – for the pâté en croûte and crab soup.

But hey, we do some pretty good pub grub ourselves! Ever tried the steak frites?

When life gives Carla lemons 🍋

She makes Lemon & Yoghurt Pavlova.

With lemon granita, sauce, curd, yoghurt, sorbet, cream, balm and candied...lemon!

Basically, the lemon equivalent of an eight-course tasting menu.

Careful of the brain freeze!

Thanksgiving at a British steakhouse? Madness.

But just a second there...

Because back home in London, we kind of have our own version of the Thanksgiving feast.

It’s called a Sunday Roast.

Any no-turkey people out there? Our Ultimate Sharing Roast might appeal:

🥩 Thick-cut prime rib cooked over open fire

🥔 Crispy beef-dripping potatoes

🥮 Enormous Yorkshire puddings

🥬 Buttery greens and golden cauliflower cheese

🫗 A boatload of bone marrow gravy

Right?

So, we’re open on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 26, from 11:45am to 8pm.

Book now!

We looted the Natural History Museum for this place.

Well, not quite…

But when we opened Hawksmoor Guildhall 15 years ago, we did get our hands on a load of its old mahogany display cases and turned them into wall panelling.

And that was just the start:

🪵 Parquet floor, from an old town hall

🧪 Chemistry lab worktops, from some of Britain’s poshest schools

🧱 Glazed bricks, salvaged from the London Underground

All because we wanted it to feel like a proper City institution. Something to match the grandeur of that amazing façade.

And, you know what, we think it worked.

Happy birthday, Hawksmoor Guildhall!

No more food envy. 🥩

When someone else’s steak arrives and you immediately wish you’d ordered that instead...

We’ve got just the thing – the Hawksmoor Steak Flight.

A bit like wh**ky, only four exceptionally good steaks instead.

50oz of beef across two strips, a ribeye and a filet.

All from different breeds, feeds and farms.

So get four of you round the table, try a bit of everything and declare the winner.

10/24/2026

What do you MEAN you’ve not tried one yet?

There’s a decent chance it’s the world’s best burger.

OK, not the most modest statement.

But it was created by supremo burger reviewer and our head – so you’ll forgive us the big talk.

What’s certain is that it’s stop-you-mid-conversation good.

Not least because of the beef: native breed, dry-aged, bone-marrow-mixed...

Get your BURGURR at any Hawksmoor.

10/23/2026

A proper British classic, now on the menu.

Ah, Dover sole – the grande dame of fish dishes.

In Victorian London, it was the sort of fish you dress up for.

Now, we think it’s the sort of fish that needs very little dressing up indeed – save a little scissor snip...

Who’s keen?

10/23/2026

Who orders the same cut every time?

We all do it, don’t we? But what if your favourite steak isn’t actually your favourite?

P’raps you’re a rib-eye gal and never knew!

Our new Steak Flight puts four of our best, side by side.

So you and your gang of you play steak critic for the evening.

Here’s the lineup:

🥩 Hawksmoor Farms rump – big, beefy flavour

🐮 Wildfell Wagyu sirloin – rich, marbled and raised in Norfolk

🥩 Longhorn rib-eye – from the breed we started with 20 years ago

🐮 Aberdeen Angus fillet – tender, tender, tender

10/22/2026

👇 Why you rest a steak 👇

It’s all about the juice...

When you cook a steak the heat drives those lovely juices to the centre and tightens the fibres.

Cut it too soon and those juices spill out onto the board. Not good.

Resting lets the heat settle and the fibres relax, so those delicious juices can spread back through the meat – where they belong.

A rested steak is a better steak. And no mistake.

10/21/2026

We call it the “party Hawksmoor” 👇

Silly season’s coming – you should get something in the diary.

Wood Wharf is pretty good at throwing parties.

From private dinners to once-in-a-decade cocktail bonanzas, we’ve got the space.

🥩 Queenie Watts – Private dining for 12-21 guests.

🍷 The Restaurant – Semi-private or exclusive dining for up to 150.

🍸 Hawksmoor Bar – Semi-private dining for 16-62.

🪩 Full Bar Hire – Standing receptions for up to 250 in winter.

🥂 Full Venue Hire – The whole floating Hawksmoor, from dinner upstairs to dancing downstairs.

Get your date booked via the link in bio.

The new Hawksmoor red. Here’s the story 👇

Our house tipple has done us proud for years. But it was time for a change.

Still an Argentinian Malbec – one we’ve helped to create – but even better suited to our steaks.

The Kaiken x Hawksmoor.

🍇 High-altitude vineyards in Mendoza

🍒 Dark fruit, a little pepper and spice

🍷 Soft, rounded tannins and a lovely long finish

Our steak’s new BFF, basically.

But it wasn’t just the w**e that drew us in.

Like us, **es is a certified B Corp, with a serious commitment to responsible farming.

We’ve found a w**emaker who shares our values – and made a w**e we think you’re going to love.

Grab a glass and let us know what you think!

How to make our roasted scallops at home.

🐚 Wash, clean + separate your scallops (keep the orange bit)

🧈 Pop them back in the shell with a tarragon leaf + garlic butter

🍷 Add a splash of white port + a sprinkle on the breadcrumbs

🔥 Bake for 6-7 minutes at 400°F

They’re our teams’ favourite starter – and for a good reason.

10/18/2026

Our City boy is turning 15!

Happy birthday to Hawksmoor Guildhall.

Mad to think we opened in October 2011.

The world’s changed a bit since then, but we’ve made a point of keeping things constant inside.

As Stef says, it’s always been a bit of a playground.

Client lunches, after-work drinks, full-blown feasts with the gang...

You come here to forget the stress, press the flesh, catch up and have fun.

Happy birthday, Guildhall. 🥂

Where does London sit in the rankings?

’s and ’s choices are great ones (it’s nigh-on impossible to get bad food in Bologna).

But our blessed capital came 4th in this year’s table, don’t you know.

And we’re proud to have made our little mark on it.

Quality British cooking with a very Italian philosophy: buy the best ingredients and cook them simply.

Speaking of which, have you tried Cal’s (not so British) bacon double cheese BURGURR yet?

It is immaculately tasty.

The stories behind the steaks 👇

🥩 The posh one – Akaushi Wagyu strip

Rare Japanese bloodline, pasture-raised in Georgia. Buttery marbling, beefy backbone.

🐮 The Tasmanian one – Grass-fed Wagyu strip

From Tasmania’s Cradle Coast. 100% grass-fed and our first beef sourced outside the US.

🥩 The steak lover’s one – Black Angus ribeye

Same Georgia farm as the Akaushi. The richest, most generously marbled of the four.

🐮 The purist’s one – Grass-fed Black Angus filet

100% grass-fed, grass-finished Black Angus from family farms in the Upper Midwest.

10/12/2026

Just add a sour-cherry negroni.

Well, if you’re going to indulge this Fall, you might as well hit it from all angles.

🍫🍒 Hot Chocolate Tart with Sour Cherries 🍒🍫

Sour cherries
Mascarpone + cherry-chocolate ice-cream
Hot chocolate tart
Chocolate tuile

Thank you, Carla Henriques – this looks exquisite.

It’s on our new Steak Flight.

One of four very different steaks for you and a few fellow carnivores to share, compare and find a new fave.

We like to call this Tasmanian strip our Grand Cru steak.

100% grass-fed Wagyu (which frankly is ridiculous) from ancient pastures on an island at the edge of the earth.

Eat it alongside our ribeye, filet and strip and see just how wildly different four excellent steaks can taste.
