Burban Kitchen is officially open! Please join us this week to explore a menu featuring some of the North State's best ingredients and prepared by Chef Leon and the Burban Kitchen team.

We are excited to announce that Burban Kitchen is officially open! 🥃

Gather with us and celebrate this week for lunch, dinner, dessert, and drinks, as we share the best ingredients the North State has to offer with you.

A few details: Our doors will be open this week, Tuesday through Saturday. We offer our full menu from 11:00am to 9:30pm, and small plates and drinks from 9:30pm to 11:00pm. We accept reservations for parties of six or more, which you may confirm by calling us at 530-399-0753. Otherwise, we welcome you to walk in and join us.

Thank you for your support, enthusiasm, and curiosity about our concept and cuisine. We look forward to serving you this week and in the weeks ahead at Burban Kitchen.

Wow! The outpouring of community support since our announcement has been so beautiful to see. Thank you all for the kind words, and for making your reservations to help us celebrate the transition to the next phase of our journey.

Our community has been so encouraging that we are completely booked for dinner through our final week (9/25-9/28). This means that while you may walk in and wait for a table, we cannot guarantee our ability to seat you this week without a reservation.

We will do everything we can to serve as many of our supporters as possible in this final week, and we are so thankful to have you join us and send us off with love.

It is a bittersweet moment for us at Leon Bistro, marked by endings and new beginnings. We are sad to officially announce that effective Saturday, September 28, Leon Bistro will be closing. After eleven years of serving this community, our doors have to close in order for new chapters to begin.

At Leon Bistro, we have always strived to be on the frontlines of culinary innovation and creativity, and our announcement of closure comes with an exciting new start. Chef Leon will now become the Executive Chef at a unique new Chico restaurant and cocktail space: Burban Kitchen.

Located in the heart of Meriam Park, Burban Kitchen brings a one-of-a-kind dining experience to the North State, featuring creative flavor combinations and organic, locally sourced and sustainable ingredients. As Executive Chef, Ann Leon will bring her culinary expertise and style to every dish that comes out of Burban Kitchen, and we are excited for this incredible partnership.

The past eleven years of Leon Bistro have been the best anyone could ask for, and this community has embraced and celebrated our restaurant and our Chef with support, loyalty, and generosity in ways we could never repay. Our hearts are full with gratitude and love. The decision to close our doors could never be an easy one, but we assure you that our journey is far from over.

We will be sharing more information about our transition throughout the coming weeks, but here are some preliminary details to start the conversation:

▪️ Gift certificates for Leon Bistro will be accepted until our closing date, and Cooking Class certificates may be used for dinner at our restaurant.
▪️ Leon Bistro will continue to be open for dinner from Wednesday through Saturday evenings until September 28. Expect more details on our special closing weekend.
▪️ We are catering the Soroptomist International of Chico’s Epicurean Rendezvous Event on October 13. Learn more about Epicurean Rendezvous and purchase tickets at https://soroptimistchico.org/fall-fundraiser-epicurean-rendezvous/. Stay in touch with us on social media for other upcoming events.
▪️ Leon Bistro will not be hosting cooking classes until further notice. You may use Cooking Class gift certificates for dinner at our restaurant.
