Update on travel conditions:

✅ Hwy 64 from Hendersonville is open and accessible all the way to Chimney Rock Village.
❎ Hwy 74A and Hwy 9 through Bat Cave are temporarily closed due to impact from flash flooding over the past few days. Both of these roads were under construction before the flooding and were already closed to everyone except local traffic. Use Hwy 64 as a detour if needed. According to the post below, these roads will be back open (local traffic only) within the next day or two.
✅ Chimney Rock Village NC did not experience any major impact from flash flooding and is open for business!

With flash flooding in the news, we wanted to share some footage of what Chimney Rock looks like today, May 26. We definitely got a lot of water, but everything in town is okay!

Some roads and areas that were already weak from previous storms washed out, but we are thankful to have no major impact in Chimney Rock! 🙏

It’s our last Maintenance Monday before we open 7 days/ week for the summer! Closing on Mondays has allowed us to:
✔️ Paint our walls (they had been raw wood since reopening!)
✔️ Install a generator
✔️ Hang our large menu board and other fixtures
✔️ Sand and paint our shelving (built by the Amish from rough sawn lumber)
✔️ Build a beautiful outdoor seating area with twinkle lights and fans to beat the heat
✔️ Defrost and deep clean our freezers

We’ve miss seeing y’all on Mondays and can’t wait to be around 7 days/week starting this weekend! 🇺🇸

Before Helene, Tiffani would visit Chimney Rock with her pups Bailey and Elley. This week, she is back as a volunteer with Spokes of Hope to bring her happy place back to life. We had the privilege of hanging out with her this week and reminiscing about our beautiful town.

Tiffani is such an amazing example of the people behind Chimney Rock’s recovery… all y’all who hold Chimney Rock in your hearts and come back to support us with your hard-earned money and precious time. You may be around for a week like Tiffani or just out shopping for the day, but each visit means the world to us! See you next time 💛
