Being dairy free doesn't mean you can't have a delicious cake to celebrate your birthday. Especially when your cake is from Wicked Sweet Shop 😋

This dairy free cake was created in a gory shark 🦈 theme. Moist, tender crumb vanilla cake with a creamy, not-to-sweet vanilla swiss meringue buttercream...yep, all dairy free!

This cake is so good that I made a little 6" for my family, one for my work family and one for my boyfriend's co-workers. It was loved by all!

So how does one go about celebrating one's birthday? Well, with these delicious soft-baked Birthday Cake Sugar Cookies, of course 😋

Soft, tender cookies topped with birthday cake frosting and sprinkled with birthday magic crunchy crumbles!

I finally got a minute to make my birthday cake...one week later...lol

I went with a Cherry 🍒 Chip Cake from scratch with a vanilla swiss meringue buttercream.

Every year I always say "this year I'm not taking any orders the week of my birthday so I can make my cake".

But every year I push my cake back a week and it's because there's always someone ordering something for someone's birthday. I can't say no, because I mean, it's their birthday too, and they're requesting something from Wicked Sweet Shop...

So there I go, and here I am...posting my cake a week later...lol...🤷‍♀️🎂🎉🥳

It's all good!

So my birthday was last weekend, and I always take some sort of birthday cake themed dessert to work for my co-workers. Yes, I know I shouldn't have to take my own birthday dessert to work, but the running joke is "why would we get you a dessert, when you would just create something better"...lol...oh, those guys!

So this year, I created these Birthday Cake dessert cups.

These delicious cups start off with buttery cookie "crust", and then birthday cake no-bake cheesecake topped with fun birthday cake crumbles....so fun and most of all...delicious 😋🎂🥳

And did I mention that they surprised me this year by decorating my desk 🥰

One of the managers where I work and his wife are expecting their first bundle of joy! And to celebrate his new soon-to-be party of 3, we threw him a "Daddy" Shower BBQ! I offered to bring dessert (no surprise there...lol), but when I walked in with a tray of "sliders", I couldn't help but sense a bit of disappointment....that is until everyone got a closer look and discovered they were, in fact, "Slider Cupcakes"!

How fun are these? I'm obsessed 😍 🍔🧁

Celebrating 15 years of sobriety is a major achievement, and deserves a special dessert. I was honored when asked to bake this classic cheesecake as a surprise dessert. And to honor the celebrant, I added a touch of elegance with edible gold leaf to give it that extra special feel.
