Pneuma Coffee

We roast specialty grade coffee in small batches for customers who want their coffee dollars to support the common good.

Chris Bean has been in and out of the specialty coffee world since February 2004. In December 2014, he and partner, Chris Human, launched Pneuma Coffee as a roasting company which would initially provide fresh-roasted single origin coffees and a few good blends for the churches and campus ministry initiatives where he was involved. It became obvious almost immediately that Pneuma could join the mi

cro-roasting coffee community in Cincinnati and help add to the flourishing coffee culture in the Greater Cincinnati area.

AMAZ Women’s Organic Coffee is produced by a group of 30 women farmers from Amazon’s and Cajamarca - many of whom come from long coffee-growing families. Most began working in coffee as teenagers, later taking ownership of their own parcels and organizing to improve quality, gain access to better markets and highlight the role of women in their communities. AMAZ supports NUevo AManecer (NUAM), an educational support center for children in rural coffee-growing areas. ☕️

Earlier this year we visited Arcenio, the farmer of this coffee, and his family. 🗺️ After eating lunch together Arcenio said he had something that he would like show us, but it was going to be a hard climb. 250 hard meters later we found ourselves with a beautiful view, standing in the middle of Arcenio’s passion project Gesha. 🌱 A few months later this micro lot would take 5th place in Guatemala’s Cup Of Excellence competition. 🏅

A coffee like this deserves packing as special as it is, so we were inspired to create this new custom look that you can only get when you purchase our Gesha. We are excited to share this incredible, limited coffee with you!

We are super excited to announce a new release by our friend Jairo Arcila from his farm, Villarazo, in Quindio, Colombia! We are thrilled to add one of his awesome coffees to our line up as a regular offering.

🌱 About The Farmer
Jairo Arcila is a third-generation coffee grower and brings over 40 years of experience to his craft. After a long tenure managing one of Colombia’s largest mills, he turned his focus to cultivating his own land, beginning with Finca La Esmeralda in 1987. This initial investment grew into a network of six farms, where Jairo now specializes in exotic coffee varieties such as Pink Bourbon, Java, Papayo, and Geisha.

With the expertise of his sons, Carlos and Felipe, Jairo has mastered the art of coffee production. Beyond coffee, Jairo’s farms are rich with other crops, including mandarin, orange, plantain, and banana, all of which contribute to the economic vitality of his community. His dedication to quality and sustainability is matched by his commitment to providing jobs during the harvest season, directly impacting the lives of those around him.

🛍️ You can find Colombia Villarazo available on our website now! The roast profile of this coffee is a medium dark in which we are tasting, Milk Chocolate and Spiced Apple with a buttery finish.
