Look around… Notice the laughter at the next table, sounds of children playing in our kids room, warm sunshine coming through the windows, and the smell of fresh espresso being brewed.

It’s easy to hurry through the mornings, shifts at work, and even the moments we once prayed for. So let’s take a moment to slow down. Unclench your jaw and drop your shoulders. Take a deep breath and focus on the beautiful moments that have been laid out in front of you.

The world has a way of making us focus on what we don’t have. But, look at how much you do have! So many beautiful experiences have been woven into our everyday life! We are given the opportunity to choose what we focus on. A choice to focus on what’s missing or to focus on what we’ve already been given.

For this coffee talk session, here’s my question for you: Are you slowing down and choosing joy?
