Long before Clemson Ice Cream was made in Newman Hall, it was originally made in the Dairy Building pictured here! This building was right behind Sikes Hall, and was the original place Clemson Ice Cream was produced all the way back in the early 1900s. In the 1950s operations were moved to Newman Hall, but the student-made tradition we scoop today at ‘55 Exchange started right here 🍦🧡💜

Last week we welcomed in Clemson Staff Senate to come do an innovation experience 🍦💜🧡 They brainstormed their flavors as groups got to play an interactive game, and tried the winning flavor!

Take a look at what they made:

Base: Rich Dutch Chocolate
Add-ins: Peanut Butter & Mini Reese’s Cups
Variegates: Salted Caramel & Marshmallow Swirls

Note: This custom creation was made exclusively for their experience and is not available in stores!

Throwing it back to 1955, the year of the class we are named after here at the '55 Exchange! 🍦
We are so thankful for the legacy of the last all-military class at Clemson, and believe it is incredibly important to highlight our past such as this 1955 photo of Newman Hall and the Poole Agricultural Center, where many Clemson alumni first tasted Clemson Ice Cream!

This week we welcomed back Clemson Career Workshop for another Innovation Experience!

We had some rising seniors come to create Ice Cream Flavors in groups, with the winning team getting to help make their own flavor.
This was the winning flavor:
Base: Mango Puree
Add-ins: Peaches + Strawberries
