✨Meet Jamila ✨
Since joining EDWINS in April 2026, Jamila has embraced this experience as a stepping stone toward a new start.

For her, this program gives her opportunity to reset, refocus, and build a different future through discipline and consistency.

Her advice to new students is simple: stay focused, keep to yourself, work hard, study hard and take in criticism. Growth comes with consistency and willingness.

This summer we’re scooping up hope around Cleveland

"Scooping" Up Hope, an all-new food ministry presented by Edwins Leadership & Restaurant Institute and the First Presbyterian Church in Cleveland, debuts THIS Wednesday starting at 11 a.m. on the front steps of our historic sanctuary and at our partner sites!

As the summer temperatures rise, our partners will put their soup kettles and ladles away and bring out the coolers, ice, (and yes, scoopers) to provide a rotating weekly offering of fresh, seasonal salads (chicken, pasta, and tuna) from Edwins Leadership & Restaurant Institute along with bagels from Barry Bagels.

As always, the meals are free and for anyone who needs, or simply desires, a healthy, quick lunch every Wednesday. No questions asked!

North Presbyterian Church at Norma Herr Women's Center (2227 Payne Ave, Cleveland)

Church of the Covenant (11205 Euclid Ave, Cleveland)
