We’re getting closer! Our contractors are hard at work and making great progress every day. Our temporary sign is up, bringing us one step closer to reopening! We want everything to be perfect and ready to go once we are open!

We can’t wait to open our doors and serve our amazing loyal customers, as well as welcome new ones who are excited to try our food.

Pete and Louie are there every day, overseeing everything and making sure the process is running smoothly.

Pete and Louie , along with the rest of the staff, are excited and eagerly waiting to reopen and welcome everyone back!

Thank you for your patience and support… we’ll see you soon! ❤️

The secret is out and the news is spreading .. The Red Chimney is moving to Parma .

This building has been more than a restaurant it’s been a gathering place, a comfort spot, and a second home. Some places hold more than tables and chairs — they hold moments, milestones, and pieces of our hearts. Closing our doors here is bittersweet, but we’re grateful beyond words for the love and support from our amazing customers . We’re moving forward, excited and hopeful, and can’t wait to continue this journey with you all in our new location. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for the memories and we can’t wait to make new ones with you all!

We explored every option to stay in Slavic Village , but the cost to restore our original building exceeded what insurance could cover, making this an incredibly difficult decision.

We tried everything and looked at every option that we could, it was not an easy decision and in the long run we had to do what was best for the families involved and for the business .

We want to thank everyone who has stood by us during this difficult time. To clarify, the fundraisers were created solely to support our amazing employees, and every employee received a portion of what was raised, to help them get in their feet until they found another job . These efforts were meant to help our team through an incredibly challenging period, and we are grateful for the love and support shown to them.

We know some of the comments come from hurt and frustration, but it’s painful to read accusations that we didn’t try, we did , and Nobody knows what we went through during these last months . We’re truly sorry that anyone feels a certain way and if anyone truly knows Louie or Pete, then you know they lived and breathed the Red Chimney. This restaurant wasn’t just a business — it was their life. They have been through thick and thin on Fleet, and it hurts deeply to see some of the things being said after all that was poured into this place.

Please understand that this was not easy for anyone ! While we are moving forward with a new chapter, This community means too much to us to ever say “goodbye” forever. This is not the end of Red Chimney — just a new chapter. We’re so grateful for the love and support you’ve shown us over the years, and we hope you’ll continue this journey with us.

We will keep you updated as far as opening date. We are an old school operation, we aren’t on facebook all the time , we have a lot going on and even in the past we have kept it old school and we’re word of mouth people , we aren’t social media people , we do know one thing is for sure , we can’t wait to open to see our awesome customers ! Louie & Pete are beyond excited and can’t wait to welcome you all at new location ! ❤️

Please keep it positive and share our happiness!

Stay Tuned .

Hello Everyone,

We sincerely hope you all enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving, surrounded by friends and family, and that you're managing to stay warm during this notably chilly weather.

We understand there's been much discussion and anticipation regarding the Red Chimney, and we wanted to provide an update on our current situation. First and foremost, we are incredibly moved by the extraordinary outpouring of support from our beloved Slavic Village community. Your unwavering kindness, concern, and prayers have been a constant source of strength for us, and we cannot thank you enough for standing by us during this challenging time.

The path to reopening has proven to be quite complex and demanding. We are currently navigating intricate processes involving various contractors, insurance providers, and essential specialists like electricians. Our primary focus is to make the most responsible and sustainable decisions for the future of the Red Chimney, ensuring the stability and well-being of our dedicated employees and their families, and ultimately, delivering the best possible experience for all of our cherished customers. This thorough approach, while time-consuming, is essential for our successful return.

We also want to provide important clarity regarding the fundraiser. This initiative was specifically organized to offer financial assistance to our wonderful staff, helping them get back on their feet during this difficult period. It was not intended to fund the rebuilding of the restaurant itself. The overwhelming generosity you showed in supporting our employees was truly heartwarming and deeply appreciated by everyone at the Red Chimney.

We sincerely wish we had a more definitive timeline to share with you at this moment. We understand the anticipation, and we apologize for the extended silence; this entire ordeal has been incredibly difficult for everyone involved, especially for Louie and Pete.

Please be assured that we are working tirelessly behind the scenes. We promise to keep you informed with more concrete updates as soon as significant progress is made. Thank you once again for your extraordinary patience, understanding, and continued support. We eagerly await the day we can welcome you all back to the Red Chimney whether it’s on Fleet or anywhere else! We have the best customers ❤️ Let’s keep it all positive ❤️

Happy Holidays ! e

As many of you are aware, The Red Chimney suffered a devastating fire earlier today. While the loss is immense and heartbreaking, we are profoundly grateful that no one was injured. The outpouring of support from our incredible community has been nothing short of overwhelming. We’ve been deeply touched by the visits, the kind words, and the unwavering loyalty shown by so many customers, friends, and family members who have rallied around us. Knowing the depth of affection you all hold for The Red Chimney makes this setback even more poignant. It’s a powerful reminder of the special place this restaurant holds in all our hearts.

The road ahead will undoubtedly involve challenges, but the love and support you've shown us fuels our determination to rebuild. We are committed to returning, stronger and better than ever, and we'll keep you updated on our progress every step of the way. Thank you for your continued prayers and thoughts. Your kindness means the world to Pete, Louie, and the entire Red Chimney team.

I just left the Red Chimney which experienced a significant fire this afternoon. Here is what we know:

*The fire is now fully controlled. Stations 7, 11 and 13 all responded.
*Everybody is safe. No injuries reported from staff, customers or firefighters.
*The building is substantially damaged. The upstairs appears gutted and the downstairs sustained a lot of damage as well.
*The Red Chimney will be closed for the foreseeable future.

I am devastated with this news. The Red Chimney is a Cleveland staple. I’ve had countless meals here and I know you have too. Please keep Pete, Lou, and Manny in your thoughts. I know my office and Slavic Village community will do everything in our power to help them rebuild.
