Selling Greek olive oil in the 90s vs. 2026! 🇬🇷🫒😂

Back in the 90s, it was Solon olive oil. Fast forward to 2026, and now it’s Iliada!

It’s crazy looking back and seeing how much the products on our shelves have changed over the years. Different brands, different packaging, but the same authentic Greek products we’ve been bringing to Cleveland for generations! 🇬🇷💙

Athens has been around since 1957, and trust me, we’ve seen A LOT of changes since then. 😂

Now I gotta know… who remembers the old Solon olive oil tins?! 👀👇

Athens in the 90s 🇬🇷

How cool is this!! 🫨 These pictures are from back when Athens was over by the West Side Market on W. 25th & Lorain.

It’s crazy looking back at all the old products, shelves, signs… everything was SO different back then. 😂

Athens has been around since 1957, so we’ve definitely seen a lot of changes over the years. But probably the biggest and scariest change was leaving W. 25th and moving to our new location.

Now we’re on Pearl Rd with Greek street food, a bigger bakery, and more Greek imports than ever. 🇬🇷💙

I love finding old pictures like these because you really don’t realize how much has changed until you look back.

Who remembers Athens when we were by the West Side Market?? 👀😂 I KNOW some of you have to!

And if you haven’t been to Athens in a while… come see how different we look today. 🇬🇷
