We've created a menu of contemporary small dishes with fresh flavors from around the world. We know these selections will provide a variety of tastes, textures, interesting seasonings and smart variations of the familiar that will give you a dynamic dining experience. We expand and change the menu throughout the year to reflect the best the season has to offer. Complementing our menu is an excitin

g and unique list of wines offered by flights, glasses or bottles, as well as specialty martinis, cocktails and beers. We've removed all the starch and stuffiness from dining and assembled a team of really nice people who want you to have a great time.

A Sad But Thankful Farewell

After nearly 15 years of having the pleasure of serving the wonderful people in the Greater Des Moines area, Trostel's Dish has closed its doors permanently.

The COVID-19 mandatory closing of restaurants and bars hastened a decision that didn't come lightly.

We are so thankful for all the contributions our employees have made to our operations over the years. It was a great team of hard-working individuals who loved serving you.

A very sincere, heart-felt thank you to all of our wonderful guests. Please stay safe and healthy.

To Our Valued Guests,

The Governor's proclamation today has closed our restaurant, until at least March 31.
Our sister restaurant, Trostel's Greenbriar will offer carry-out service as follows:
-Monday thru Friday 11am-1pm and 4pm-7pm
-Saturdays 4pm-7pm
-The same menu offered lunch and/or dinner
-The menu is somewhat limited but offers most of your Greenbriar favorites.

-Curbside delivery is available to ensure your safety as well as our staff's.
-We also offer carry-out wine and beer in the bottles at retail price (alcohol will help us through this 😉)
