What do you all think of a grilled cheese and pork bbq sandwich with homemade soup.....vegetable, chili, and others? We made the grilled cheese and pork bbq sandwich yesterday and it is good!!! After the busy day Saturday at the Elkins City Park, as well having five caters from Thursday until today, all the prep kept me from my much needed yard work..accomplished mowing today.

We're so glad the food wagon came home safely on Saturday. Our truck decided to break down on our way home from setting the food wagon up at the Elkins City Park. We are so blessed to have a wonderful neighbor who took the time to tow it home for us. Thank you Dale Harlan!!!
On another note, what a day we had Saturday at the Mountain State Street Machines car show's return to the park. There were over 200 cars on display and I swear we waited on everyone from all these cars. We heard many glowing reviews of our food. We were extremely busy all day and had to power through the stifling heat. We wouldn't have made it without our amazing friends Felicia Hendon, Connie Taylor-Skidmore, Jackie Skidmore-Teter, and Haylee Bennett. THANK YOU♥️♥️♥️. Next up, back to the City Park on July 25 for the Augusta Festival.

We will be donating a pan of smoked pork bbq for sale at this wonderful local fundraiser. It is a very fun event . Come support the cause and enjoy a wonderful evening of fellowship.

The annual George D. Broschart Memorial Scholarship Cake Walk and Hot Dog Sale will be Friday, July 3rd at the Coalton Elementary School gymnasium. Food will be served beginning at 6:00 p.m. and the cakewalk will begin at 7:00 p.m. The fundraiser will also feature a chinese auction with prizes that include household and childrens items. There will also be a gun raffle as well as 50/50 drawings. Each year this scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior from the Coalton School District in honor of former Coalton Principal, George Broschart. The scholarship is an excellent support system for students from outlying communities. The more support we provide to this fundraiser, the more support that can be provided to some of the graduating seniors from our community. Please plan to attend as we celebrate three scholarship recipients this year!!

Italian sausage sandwiches will be available this Saturday, July 4, at the Mountain State Street Machines car shows return to the Elkins City Park. You can get your Italian sausage with sautéed onions and peppers and mozzarella cheese, or with homemade marinara sauce with onions and peppers and mozzarella cheese. Of course our pulled pork bbq, brisket and mac and cheese will be available as well. We're also having smash burgers and fries. Come try some good homestyle food!!

We are looking forward to setting up on July 4 at the Elkins City Park for the return of the Mountain State Street Machines car show! We will have our freshly smoked pulled pork bbq sandwiches with our signature homemade sauce, brisket, and macaroni and cheese. The "Roscoe" menu will also be there with smash burgers and fries, and we will be debuting our Italian sausage sandwiches. We pride ourselves on fresh ingredients and homemade foods. That includes freshly sliced peppers and onions, not frozen from a bag, and homemade marinara sauce! Come by and give us a try!!

For Father's Day, Roscoe supervised dad on the griddle. Sauteed peppers and onions, Italian sausage, provoline cheese and tomato sauce on large Italian buns. Also fresh chilled pasta salad with garden vegetables. YUMMY!!! Roscoe may add these to his food wagon menu!
