Front of House Team Member
Position Summary
At Breaking Bread Artisan Bistro, we believe great food brings people together. Our Front of House Team Members are the face of our bistro, creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere where every guest feels like family. This position is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while serving handcrafted food, artisan breads, pastries, coffee, and beverages with care and attention to detail.
We're looking for team members who are dependable, positive, hardworking, and genuinely enjoy serving others. Every interaction is an opportunity to create a memorable experience that keeps our guests coming back.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome every guest with genuine warmth and hospitality.
- Take customer orders accurately using our point-of-sale system.
- Prepare and serve coffee, espresso beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks.
- Assemble and serve sandwiches, soups, pastries, breads, and other menu items according to our quality standards.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of our menu, daily specials, ingredients, and allergen information.
- Answer guest questions and make menu recommendations with confidence.
- Package bakery and deli items with care and attention to presentation.
- Maintain clean, stocked, and inviting dining, beverage, and retail areas throughout the day.
- Restock displays, bakery cases, beverages, and supplies as needed.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
- Complete opening and closing duties, including cleaning and preparing the bistro for the next shift.
- Work closely with the kitchen and bakery team to ensure timely, accurate service.
- Help create a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment.
- Represent Breaking Bread Artisan Bistro with professionalism, kindness, and integrity at all times.
Qualifications
- A passion for hospitality and serving others.
- Friendly, positive attitude with excellent communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to work mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Previous café, bakery, restaurant, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
