Special visitor to the cooking school today! In the short time our granddaughter was here, she:
-unrolled all of the TP in the bathroom
-‘spilled’ all of the salt (“oopsie!”)
-poured the oregano into the cornmeal
-hid all of the plastic stirring spoons
-rearranged the canisters in the pantry 😬
-made us all laugh and smile 😀♥️

🍞 It was another great night with ! 📌 We made: Classic Sandwich Bread with Ginger-Apple Citrus Marmalade, Brioche-Style Danish and Roasted Fall Panzanella - all Gluten-Free, of course.
💓 Huge shout out to Chef Dan for leading the class in how to create flavorful bread that’s completely gluten-free, with no compromise.

🍝 Who doesn’t love fresh pasta?!
We hosted a fun group from for a night of camaraderie, pasta and fun!�On the menu was: Fresh Fettuccine, Herb and Cheese Ravioli, Very Good Tomato Sauce, Broccolini, Sausage and Ricotta Sauce and Decadent Chocolate Mousse.

Young chefs will step into the kitchen to cook up a hit lineup of savory bites and sweet treats inspired by their favorite pop icons. This high-energy, hands-on party blends kitchen skill-building, creativity, and social fun as students learn to prepare full-flavor recipes from scratch. For kids 8-14.

👻 We had a scary good time making Mummy Dogs (with homemade crescent dough), Jack-O-Lantern Pizzas (with homemade pizza dough) and Graveyard Mousse Cups at our Kid + Me Halloween Baking class today.

There are PLENTY of kid classes coming up at Capital Cooks. Have a look and join us! Make scratch food, have fun, eat well. Hey, we can’t wait to see you!

Earl B Feiden’s Appliances in Latham saved the day for us!
Our cooking school dishwasher decided to go down for the count like a Mike Tyson right hook. We needed a new one fast. The big box stores were over a week out on getting what we needed…yesterday.
Within less than 24 hours Earl B. Feiden Appliance has us back up off the canvas and ready for our next event!
