My parents were over on the 4th, knowing they had a big Anniversary approaching I asked my mom "what kind of cake did you have at your wedding?" True to my mom always thinking of others she said "oh yellow cake, its something everyone would like" so I asked "what kind of cake would YOU have liked." Immediately she said "Almond, Amaretto!" So here it is the cake my mom wanted and deserves in peach and ivory their colors 50 years ago today.
Happy 50th Anniversary to my Mom and Dad, what a beautiful accomplishment. I don't think they had a clue 59 years ago when they met at the Fiesta's in New Mexico as a 16 year old from Colorado Springs and a 17 year old from Taos, NM that it would be the beginning of a beautiful Foundation of Love, trust, faith, family and most importantly respect that would today reach 50 years. They have been best friends and partners in every triumph and struggle along the way... They have honored and supported eachother and us completely and with sincere passion toward the future. I'm beyond blessed to have the most wonderful example of love and perseverance to call Mom and Dad. I'm so proud of their success in their marriage in world where this covenant is undervalued.♥️
