My best memory of being off during the COVID quarantine was cooking every day with my 3 kids. Every day, we would rotate who my sous chef would be, and together we would game plan a menu based on personal tastes, food preferences, and what staples we had on hand that particular day.

So fruitful was our time that I made a quarantine cookbook that I will send along with my kids as each of them leaves the house in the upcoming years.

It was with that frame of mind that I wrote this class as a way to cook alongside your
kids and get them ready for the world beyond your house, whenever that may be. I also thinks its vital to the sustainability of a household that fathers know how to cook. And so, together with myself and your kids or grandkids, we will cook together a fabulous 3- course meal that we will all sit down and eat together.

Nostalgic classics like a riff on BLT paired with a steak and potato main course, and
finished with a strawberry pie trifle, make this a memorable meal, not only because of
how delicious it will be, but also because of the skills gained cooking alongside your
children.

Good day, friends in food, Chef Nate here. We have a series of economical flash classes, “What, only $39?! 😱
You must not leave with any food or recipes.” Wrong, same
great food, same great instruction, just a lower price! One of those options is the Chocolate Mousse taught by yours truly.🍫

This class is a whirlwind hour in which everyone makes their own luscious chocolate mousse. You will learn that with a few ingredients and a splash of technique, this pastry chef staple is easily made at home. Chocolate has the unique ability to soothe the savage beast lurking inside all of us. Satisfy the chocolate craving, plus get introduced to The French Kitchen and all the tempting treats and creative classes we have to offer.

Lurking within this rich French classic, Gateaux Fraisier contains almost a full pound of strawberries. 🍓
When asked if Blandine could pass the baton to me for this class, I jumped at the chance. It looks deceptively challenging at first glance, but as we peel back the layers, we see that it’s an easy sponge cake, whipped custard frosting, and a bunch of strawberry cutting.

Each student makes their very own cake to take home after mixing and baking a tender ladyfinger sponge. Groups of 2 each make enough vanilla bean custard to whip butter into, to form a rich but impossibly light-textured cream. The cream encapsulates the fresh strawberries, and then we make an easy clear glaze to add a shine and sparkle to the top of each cake.

This is one of those cakes that some people will say seems almost “Too pretty to eat.” I have never understood that expression, as this fat kid just always wants cake. Sign up today and join Chef Nate to make this beautiful strawberry cake.
