We are honestly overwhelmed by the support we have received over the last few days.
When we shared the news about our upcoming departure from NexusPark, we expected a few comments and well wishes. Instead, the community showed up in a way that we never imagined. Many of you came in, shared our posts, left encouraging comments, sent messages, and reminded us just how much Lucas Brothers means to so many people.
For that, we are truly grateful.
While we are disappointed by how things have unfolded, we are choosing to focus on the future rather than the past.
Many of you have asked how you can help. Some have suggested fundraisers, volunteer efforts, donations, and other ways to support Lucas Brothers. Before we make any decisions, we want to take a little time to evaluate our options and develop a realistic plan for what comes next.
What many people may not know is that we have already been working on renovating a building of our own. The project is well underway, but there is still a significant amount of work remaining before it can become the permanent home of Lucas Brothers.
The response we have seen this week has reminded us that this business is more than sandwiches and burgers. It is friendships, memories, traditions, and a community that has supported us for years.
Rather than asking, "How do we save our current location?" we are now asking, "How do we build the future of Lucas Brothers?"
Thank you for standing with us. Thank you for your patience. And most importantly, thank you for believing in Lucas Brothers.
The next chapter may look different, but because of this community, we believe there is still a next chapter to write.
Our current staff has offered to remain with us until the end. We will attempt to remain open for two more weeks at most to serve burgers and limited sides that are available. We will keep you all posted and God bless.
