Today, we’re asking our Food Mill family to show some extra love to our friends at Hudson’s!
Yesterday, Hudson’s experienced unexpected plumbing and AC issues that forced them to close their doors for the day. For any local restaurant, even one day of closure can have a significant impact. But if you know Hudson’s, you know that serving others is simply who they are.
While dealing with their own challenges, they are still stepping up to help families in our community by providing food and snacks for children this summer. From cereal and fruit to sandwiches, drinks, and easy-to-make meals, they are making sure local kids have access to food when school is out.
That kind of heart deserves our support.
If you’re looking for a delicious brunch today, head over to Hudson’s and help them recover from yesterday’s setback. Grab a meal, leave a generous tip, and if you’re able, consider donating kid-friendly breakfast items, snacks, drinks, fruit, or lunch goodies to help keep their shelves stocked this summer.
This is what community looks like—neighbors helping neighbors.
Let’s show Hudson’s the same love they continuously show our community. ❤️
Ok Fam. We are locked and loaded and ready for the babies this summer. ❤️
We’ve got cereal, oatmeal, grits, apples, oranges, pudding, pop tarts, chips, Capri Suns, sandwiches, waffles, we are making easy microwaveable breakfast biscuits, and whatever else we can think of to help out. We tried to focus on easy items kids could make themselves if necessary.
We know it’s not a lot, but if the babies need it, we got it. Period.
Food insecurity is real and summer can be stressful when school meals stop, but around here we do what we can with what we got. If you need a little extra help feeding your kiddos this summer, come see us at Hudson’s. No shame. No judgment. Just love.
And if anybody in Big Back Nation wants to help us keep the shelves stocked this summer, we’ll gladly take donations of kid-friendly breakfast items, snacks, drinks, fruit, or lunch goodies.
Them babies ain’t never going hungry around us. 🫶
