Mexican Milagros is a celebration of Mexico's vibrant traditions and creativity.
A repoussé technique uses motifs from diverse viceregal symbolism to evoke reliquaries.
It is an introduction to viceregal art dating back to the colonial era.

With Mexican artists Emma García Madrid she is a visual artist whose work merges the rich traditions of Mexican iconography and symbolism with contemporary storytelling. Her art reflects cultural resilience, memories, and the timeless beauty of Mexican heritage.

ABOUT THE ARTIST:

Daza is an experienced artist, muralist and community entrepreneur with 30 years using creativity and passion to bring a message of joy and color to his surroundings using different techniques and concepts to achieve it.

For years, he has worked as an editorial cartoonist in newspapers. Also published books and cartoons to motivate the community to participate and understand the political system.

We are so thrilled to having him as our MAY workshop instructor in this year series!
