Hey Columbus—Chef Christopher here, behind Black Hat Mobile Kitchen (). I'm a small startup but I’m stoked to roll into town and share some bold, wild flavors and real-deal food truck adventures with you all. Think stuff that hits hard, makes you grin, and keeps you coming back.
Right now, I’m hunting for a clean, reasonably priced prep kitchen—nothing fancy, just a spot with a stove, fridge, sink, and maybe some storage. Ideally, it’d be tied to an old bar or pub with some unused kitchen space during off-hours—perfect for a mobile guy like me. Ghost kitchens? Too steep for what I’m doing initially.

Looking for an intimate unique evening dinner for two? The Black Hat Chef is here to make your evening vibe unforgettable.

A fresh, captivating blind five-course experience for two, designed to surprise and delight. Each course unviels a work of art, blending bold flavors with striking presentation, paired with a sparkling Prosecco and a refined paired wine.

Sample of what you can expect.

Course One- Seared diver scallops, golden and tender, perched on a vibrant pea puree, dotted with wasabi caviar and delicate chervil sprigs for a burst of color and spice.

Course Two- Wild mushroom cappuccino, velvety and aromatic, served in porcelain cups with a frothy truffle foam and a single morel crisp for an earthy surprise.

Course Three- Heirloom tomato tartare, diced and layered with avocado crema, topped with basil microgreens and a shatter-crisp parmesan tuile, finished with a smoked sea salt sprinkle.

Course Four- Herb-crusted lamb loin, roasted to perfection, served with a roasted garlic and lavender jus, saffron-infused cauliflower puree, and jewel-like roasted heirloom baby carrots.

Course Five Saffron-poached pear, silken and golden, paired with a mascarpone chantilly, honeyed pistachio crumble, and a drizzle of rosewater syrup for a fragrant finale.

Welp… it’s happening.

Jimmy Avocado’s is about to have a sister truck — and just like any unexpected sibling, she’s rolling in fast, loud, and probably a little unhinged.

She arrives THIS MONDAY.

Please pardon the temporary chaos — we’re doing our best not to trip over ourselves (or the bolts we forgot to tighten).

On a brighter note:
