I take responsibility for what I feed my clients, and that means every ingredient choice matters.

“Local” has become a trendy buzzword, but for me it’s never been about checking a box. It takes extra time and intention to source ingredients from local farms and growers, but it’s worth every bit of effort.

When produce is harvested closer to when it’s served, it arrives fresher, more flavorful, and often retains more of the nutrients that can be lost during long transportation and storage.

That’s why you’ll find me shopping at places like and sourcing from incredible local growers like whenever I can.

I’m always excited about this 4th of July party 🧨

Next week will be my 6th year catering this celebration for the same client, and that’s one of the greatest compliments I can receive.

Every year brings a new menu, new ideas, and a few favorite traditions. But the goal is always the same: good food, good people, and a gathering everyone looks forward to.

One of my favorite things about my work is getting to help people celebrate life’s biggest moments.

A surprise proposal. A wedding. A milestone birthday. A dinner shared with people who feel like family.

This Pride Month, I’m reflecting on a few celebrations that have stayed with me.

Kathy planned a beautiful Valentine’s dinner at home before proposing to Maisha. She told me she had struggled to find a chef who made them feel welcomed and comfortable. Being able to help create that evening, and now their upcoming wedding cake, means so much.

When my friends Lily and Jess asked me to cater their intimate Hocking Hills wedding, it was an easy yes. It was personal, unique, and filled with the people who loved and supported them.

And Mey’s 40th birthday, dreamed up alongside Laura, remains one of my favorite dinners to date. Friends contributed ingredients from their urban farm, and the entire evening felt like a celebration of community.

What connects all of these events isn’t just the food.

It’s the love. The support. The chosen family. The people who gather around a table and make a moment matter.

I had the privilege of cooking for the Edible Columbus’ summer dinner at Jorgensen Farms last year, and to say it was incredible would be an understatement.

The menu was inspired by summer in Italy - where dining al fresco is sacred, and peak-season produce speaks for itself.

Everything was served family-style, so the meal became about much more than just eating. It became about connection, conversation, and the timeless pleasure of dining together.
