Go support these great people and eat some great food while you can!!! We are sending prayers to them.

Happy Saturday all. We come to you with some sad news. Lucas Brothers will be closing. Nexus presented some new terms that we simply cannot afford. Another rent increase and a 5 year lease that will include a 3% increase in rent every year during the duration of the lease. Fieldhouse tournaments are almost non existent. When they are scheduled, it's Sat only and they are almost always canceled. We do not have enough traffic /sales to support the increase. Our building isn't ready and we do not have a date on when it will be ready. We will attempt to sell out of the current frozen product that we have and that will be it for us. Thank you for showing up and supporting us during this journey. This was our first business and the food industry is a tough one. It's a lot of work and very little profit after overhead. We did our best but are unwilling to spend any more money on new leases or other spaces/food truck etc. If our building gets completed, we may reopen there when the time comes. Our day started with smoothies delivered to us courtesy of Integrity Garage Doors LLC, and ended with a wonderful dessert made by one of our guests, Sean. Thank you both very much for the sweets!
Life is great over here on National Rd and we are adjusting so well to our new place. We are very thankful for everyone that continues to cheer us on 🤗

We're so happy here and life is just wonderful 🩷. We couldn't be more thankful for our blessings. Business is going amazingly, our staff is rocking it and have stuck with us even after having to close down for over a year! Today was another packed day for us! At one point they were lined outside the door waiting to get in. We are beyond blessed to have the support that you all are giving us.

Today, our neighbors King Nails & Pro Dip brought all our girls Mother's Day presents - it was the sweetest. We've been having a blast with them. They are so much fun!!

Also, today Ye Olde Fish House brought us all donuts again. We were told that our waitress Jen was walking through the dining room eating a donut and telling the guests, “Donut bother me right now.” The only thing we can say is that if you were here, then you got to experience the true setting of Jill’s Diner.

Anyway, we have the next two days off 😍 We will be closed on Mother's Day because all mothers deserve a day off work, and we're closed on Mondays!

We were just notified by Rural king that the city is shutting off the water to our building. We are unable to serve any additional customers without having water in our restaurant. We are closed.

Edit to add: When we were notified of this we had multiple guests waiting on tables. We are sorry to have to turn you away and wanted to thank you for your kindness and understanding.

Movers are here!!! Such a big day for us we could cry! Our kitchen actually has refrigerators and freezers in it and we have seating now. 🥞 🥚 🥓 🍔 🥗

These kids are excited to present to you a sneak peek of our final progress video 🎥
The main video will be posted mid-end of next week! Bittersweet as we’ve enjoyed sharing our progress thus far with everyone but a final progress video means that a video with our opening details will follow‼️

It’s been an interesting month here at Jill’s diner with our 9ft hood lost in transit, a sprinkler contractor pushing the job out to basically February, issues with flooring and the list goes on. Luckily our hood guys were able to quickly handle the issue and we were able to get a new contractor in to handle the sprinklers 👏
We are moving along!

INSPECTION UPDATE: We have approached our ceiling inspection period with code enforcement and we are praying that everything checks out perfectly 🙏 🙏 🙏
