All of our dogs come in 2 sizes we call PUP and Dog. PUPs are a standard size dog on a standard bun and a Dog is almost a 1/4 pound dog on an 8 inch bun. Sue to the size of the vegetarian dogs and the cost of them as well you are welcome to have any pup sized dog swapped out for a vegetarian dog for 50 cents more. We would love to offer the same on the dog size but we feel that we would be ripping you off because the only benefit that you would get is an 8 inch bun and we feel that is not fair. We serve Coke fountain products which are Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, Barqs Rootbeer and Fruit Punch. The first one we call Bowzers Special and that is available from 10am to 2 pm and that is 1 Coney Pup size, 1 Side and Large Drink in which you save a $1.00 if you were to purchase seperately. The second special is our Barking Hour which is good from 4pm til 7 pm. That is a Pedigree Pup size, 2 sides and a Small Drink which you save $1.50 if purchased seperately. Swing by and check us out, I can almost guarentee you that it will be ONE OF THE BEST dogs that you have ever eaten IF NOT THE BEST dog you have ever eaten.

Bowzers is posting an update today which Monday May 18th. 5 Days After Back Surgery.

It hurts, and it hurts a whole lot. With that all said and done, everyday does seem like it's getting easier and easier, still not easy yet and oh BTW did I mention it HURTS a whole lot, if I didn't, it HURTS a whole lot.

I am doing 2 walks a day around our culdesac, because keeping it all moving is part of the key to not only recovery, but a faster recovery.

At this moment in time I do believe we will be back out an about come the middle of June. I am not going to set a date yet, because I am only 5 days out of surgery and it hurts a whole lot, just in case I didn't mention it earlier.

I do have 3 follow up Dr. Appointments at the Surgeon's Office, the first 2 are with his Nurse Practioner's and the last one with the Neurosurgeon him self. May 27th, June 24th and July 28th.

As of being released from the surgery and observations there currently is no need for Physical Therapy. Knock on Wood and pray to God that nothing will happen for this to change.

When I woke up in the recovery area, the first thing I looked for was to make sure that there was no TOE TAG on any of my feet. When I was relived that there was no TOE TAG, I then focussed on moving my toes on my right foot, then wiggled my ankle, then lifted my knee a little bit and then not to overdue it, my whole leg from waist down, and was very happy everything moved the way I told them too.

I have and am still praying to GOD for a safe and speedy full recovery. I have made it through the worst of it, and can say I do believe that I am on the last straightaway of the race and I am winning.

I will post another update in a few days to let everyone know where I am at and what things look like compared to today and when I post the next update.

I am very anxious to get back at it, but I am not going to be in a rush to get back at it either, because I don't want to do anything that could jeopardize the heeling process and be back in the same boat or worse yet in a different boat that has a hole in it.

When it's meant to be, it will be and when the time is right, it will be the right time. Good things comes to those who wait. I am not going to force something to happen becuase if you force something to happen that wasn't meant to be or the right time, the outcome usually will not be in you favor and I need right about now everything to be in my favor.

Thank You To Everyone for their Business, Support, Understanding, Patience, Get Well Wishes and Prayers. We greatly appreciate all of it.

Bowzers will not be up an running for about 3 to 4 weeks. We are looking to be up and running by June 13th. This all depends on how well I recover from the back surgery that is scheduled for May 13th.

I am looking forward to having this done so that way I will no longer be in pain, providing there are no complications.

At the same time I am feeling more and more anxiety thinking about the surgery as well, my emotions are mixed. I try real hard day to day to keep on smiling. My spirits are high but coming down more and more.

I am so ready to get off of this roller coaster ride that I did not opt in to be on to begin with. So tomorrow will be the start of getting off this ride. I wouldn't even suggest that I put my worse enemy on it, that is how bad it was.

So again my plans get pushed aside once again. So there is a new plan, once again if no obstacles get in our way.

We have to once again focus on the food truck because we need it to raise the funds to get the shop back open. Due to having to pay for Dr. Visits, Medication, Specialists, MRI's, Xrays, etc. It ate me out of house and home. Yes when we go into settlement I will get this money back, but in the mean time we are just about out of money. So we need the food truck running to get the money we need to open up the shop.

June 13th should be our first day out with the food truck in Reynoldsburg, Again we will be running the truck until we can get the funds we need to open the shop back open. We are hoping to have the shop back open by October sometime.

Once we get the shop back open we are going to do the following.
Select 2 days a week that the shop will be open and pro actively search and get events with the food truck on the other 5 days. If there is no event outside of the 5 days that we are using for the food truck, we will post and let everyone know that the shop will be open that day.

Now this does not mean that we will not book anything on the 2 days dedicated to the shop. I someone calls us and wants to book us for one of them 2 days or more, we will close the shop for them events. The only other reason why we would be closed one or both of them days would be if I am sick, if I am sick, I respect our guests that much that I won't work sick over top of their food.
We will also be closed on the dedicated 2 days if we have a multi-day event and it runs into one or both of the dedicated days.

These plans may change due to circumstances beyond my control or it may change if we can hire someone in to help us with running the shop and from time to time on the truck, depending on the event.

Thank You For Your Time And Understanding,

Bowzers was going to do an update tomorrow to let everyone know where we stand at and what our plans are after my Wife and I figured out the logistics of the whole thing.

Well as usualy plans have changed once again. We were planning on booking what we could with the food truck all the way up to my back surgery date which was June 17th and post our full schedule.

Come to find out I got a phone call from the Dr.s office on Friday the 1st because they have to reschedule my surgery date because the Dr. is going to be out of town that week.

I got upset because June 17th was the soonest they could do the surgery and that means my date gets pushed out further and that means all the longer I have to deal with the pain and with each passing the day the pain is getting worse.

The person I spoke to from scheduling said let me look at the schedule as there was a day that opened up and when she looked she said how about the 13th. I was like yeah that will work it's 4 days earlier. Then she proceeded to let me know that is was not June 13th but May 13. I said heck yeah and excited that it got moved more than a month sooner. After I hung up the phone is when it set it that my surgery is not 12 days away, as of Friday.

As of today we are 11 days away. I was told that the back operation is about 1 1/4 hours. I was also under the assumption that it was out patient and come to find out, they will keep me for 23 hours after the procedure for observation and if all is well then they will release me, so it is kinda like outpatient, just not immediate out patient.

So we are going to site idle until the surgery and they say about 2 to 3 weeks recovery, but it can take 6 to 8 weeks because everyone heals at different rates. I talked to someone who had a similair type of surgery and they said they were recovered in 1 week.

We will post again to let everyone know how things are going after the surgery and intermittantly afterwards to keep touch with everyone and to give everyone an idea as to when we are going to start up operations again.

Just to let everyone know, just because I am not out and up and running, doesn't mean that I am sitting idly by either. I am working on alot of stuff that needs to be done and that I want to get done so that way I can implement them into our operations once we get back up and running again.

Bowzers has good news and bad news after seeing the Neurosurgeon today.

1. I do not have to decide whether or not I want a pain pump or a Dorsal Column Stimulator installed.

2. All I did today was show up for my appointment, turned in my imaging discs with my MRIs on it. Waited until the nurse practioner to come into the room. She explained some things to me, then had to wait for the Dr. to come in and he looked at the MRIs as well and he explained to me what was going on and what he could do, and then proceeded to let me know that he has done this thousands of times and in a weird way it was routine. Then he said recovery is about 6 weeks long. I mentioned that, that is how long the recovery time is for a DCS is and his reply was why do you want to cover up the pain when we can fix it and make the pain go away. So they are suppose to call me within 2 weeks to schedule back surgery and actually fix the issue, not just mask the pain. Also the surgery I need does not involve Nuts, Bolts or other hardware. They just have to make a little bit of room, move a few nerves around, sew me back up and within in 6 weeks, should be almost as good as new. At the 6 week mark or so, I will have to go through more Physical Therapy, but that is all good and fine with me.

3. Once the surgery is done, we will however be down as well for about 6 weeks and will be closed.

Bowzers will be closed until Thursday March 12th, pending outcome of the appointments with the Neurosurgeon and Family Dr.

Still undecided on whether I want the less intrusive and faster recovery of a pain pump and mess, or the more intrusive, non medicated 6 week recovery time for a Dirsal Column Stimulator.

I have to know what I want to do by Wednesday.

Thank you for your business, support, patience and understanding.
