My heart is hurting for small and local business owners in Kannapolis having to close this weekend due to no fault of their own. I've taken to my personal social media to ask how I can help them but I have no real solid leads on anything truly impactful. I plan to go out on Tuesday to support as many as I can - I'll end up buying gift cards because I can't eat everywhere in one day. I've offered free meals to Kannapolis small business owners and their team members in the meantime. But now I'm asking yall - what can we do for them? How do we support them in this time? Afton Pub wants to be the village that supports its neighbors and we are gut wrenched that locally owned restaurants are closed due to a water safety issue. What do we do? Help me brainstorm!!

Since we've had a couple people ask: we are NOT impacted by the Kannapolis water boil advisory. We spoke to Environmental Health with Cabarrus Health Alliance to double check but we are all clear 🙌🏻
