Dear Friends,
After seven years Crazy Italians Restaurant is closing for good.
Our concept was to make authentic Italian food available at affordable prices.
Our promise was to never add to our menu anything that you would not find in Italy.
Our commitment was to put respect as our first priority. Respect for our traditions, for ourselves, for our employees and patrons.
Even through the madness and government preposterous meddling in the economy of the last two years, we have always defended our values.
We never gave up on them.
Like almost any other business struggling with their staff, we have been trying to hire people for more than a year without too much luck.
We had so many disrespectful grown ups applying to our job openings and not showing up to the scheduled interview or, even worse, not showing up on their first day of work without any notice.
Showing lack of commitment and respect for themselves and others, these people gave up on being role models for the new generations.
And, as usual, the new generations reacted doing the opposite.
Their rebellion is hard work, their power is curiosity, they challenge the adults by learning.
Teenagers are keeping the motor running.
They are the fuel for hope.
This week our youngest teenagers employees are back to school, after teaching lessons to adults over all the summer.
Without them, Crazy Italians restaurant has not enough staff to stay open.
We are sad to be forced to make this decision, but there is hope!
We hope you enjoyed our food, videos, and stories.
We hope you will hold good memories of our little place. We will.
Grazie for the support, the patience, the curiosity, the nice words, the encouragement.
All this will stay with us forever.
And for anything else, who knows.
