FOR SALE $34,800

This truck has done very large events of 15-30k ppl and catered as much as 3000 ppl in one event. It’s made to move and shake yet a single person could run it too for small events . We ran various menus depending on the event request of type . Obviously , loads of donuts but Even more rice bowls , burgers and breakfast sandwiches.

It’s a Chevy 2500 automatic transmission small block diesel very well maintained professionally . The previous owner used it lightly but pumped over 30k into it for upgrades, maintenance and customizations . We’ve traveled from New York into the Blue Ridge Mountains with 16,000 pounds in total without issues (other than my wife complaining about my driving lol) .
The truck has a prep station, ss shelves, steel backsplash/wall coveringswarmer, lp griddle/flat top, 2 deep fryers, hood and exhaust fans plus a small return air one that can be switched to reverse, enclosed bakers rack on casters, racks, shelves, stands, various lighting options, small chest freezer with a butcher block top, small countertop marine freezer, fire extinguishers, 3 bay sink and hot water tank, 50 gallon fresh water, 50 gallon waste water, 200amp panel with various adapters and generator cord, knife block, utensils, 3x20 # lp tanks but can use any size, 1500 # liftgate, 3 deep cycle batteries and a crappy am/fm tape deck lol.
In addition I have a large storage unit filled with catering equipment and some equipment plus a 4’ commercial bbq grill, another hood , fan, passive air return cover , knives upon knives 😅 that I’d be willing to negotiate into the deal at no extra charge because I just need the space back and it’s a lot to piece out . The unit is on 414 next to the restore and is tge biggest unit available 😬 I’m available most of the time and pretty flexible with my time. Also there is a big Honda generator 5000w that can be included but it needs some work though I believe it’s the Honda gx340 motor which can be used in various other ways too
This truck has made a lot great memories, smiling faces 😎 and of course, MONEY! lol we sold out every time we set up after working out the kinks the first year and will gladly share anything you want to know about the business. I opened another shop about 5 years ago and due to the employee issues it became hard to juggle all three businesses and I ran myself into the ground thinking I could do it all around the clock for too many years. My loss can be your gain and a good reminder of what not to do 🤦‍♂️cell is [hidden information] thanks for your time!

My wife, Nicole Walker keeps asking me “when do we tell people , how do we say it?” “”It”” can be summed up in just a few words and honestly that’s all I was going to say. However, the other day I was speaking with a lady and I explained that my wife and I owned Walker Cake Company and now we own Toast & Grind and Felony Donutz. She said she remembered us from an event and that it was the last time she ate lunch with a friend before he had passed away. I explained that as a chef it has been such an honor to be a part of a persons memories for so long. Food has always been a huge part of my memories, the smell of something instantly transporting me to a place and time. In fact, my personal favorite is the smell of something I couldn’t stand to eat but loved the smell of. My grandmother frying zucchini in a pan fresh after picking it from the garden and me coming out of the living room that was filled with those old couches with the big chunks wood , around that old retro kitchen island with the hanging kitchen cabinets, the orange kitchen table chairs like the ones we filled out shop with and seeing my grandmother standing at the stove cooking followed by my disappointment to find out it was zucchini 🥴 which I now like. In 29 years I’ve been a part of so many memories especially through catering and the food truck. I met my wife at a cafe she once worked at and years later when she walked the the doors of mine. I’ve had the opportunity to share the food I’ve created with people from nearly every corner of the earth because of our location.
Unfortunately, almost three years ago I worked myself almost into an early grave. I fell ill with medical issues and not taking care of #1. Eventually, the pain it caused made it impossible for me to continue working and I’ve been sitting the sidelines for over a year now as my wife has been kicking ass holding it down for us. It’s been the absolute worst couple years of my life, often asking why this has happened to me/us. Nearly two years of it being in almost nonstop peak level pain and then the depression of having the rug pulled out from underneath you just when I finally thought I really made it in the food game. To make matters worse, a few months after it began my truck nearly rolled completely over my legs causing nerve damage that was inexplainable but worse happened before that . We lost one of the greatest members of our family and one of the most influential men in my life, my father in law Donald Dickerson. Without him, as well as his wife Tina and his kids Nicole and Danielle I would have never gotten halfway here (the good parts lol) . He helped my ideas and dreams become a reality and taught me how to do the things I did not know how to do myself when taking care of a business, a home, my property, a family and how to stay married 🫢🤭”yes dear” lol. His lose is felt in our lives and our home every single day and is echoed through me every time I have to fix something “the women” broke 😂😂 .
It’s predominantly because of these reasons that I am retiring from the kitchen. I absolutely love what I do, I’m great at what I do but I can’t do it anymore because of my health and interests in living a long life lol. I can’t expect my wife to keep killing herself as I did to keep it going either and now coupled with reasons beyond our control we have no option but to close down Toast & Grind 😖😖😖 in which we are not going to get into.

I will say this as a parting lesson to all those to follow…If you are a business that opens up with the idea that you are going to do what someone else is doing nearby then you will not make it. If you are an established business who sees someone doing something making money so you decide to start doing it too then you are throwing money away. If you are a patron who wants a big crappy company to come in so you can pay 4x as much for premade frozen garbage that doesn’t support but 5 jobs locally then you will get everything you ask for. Not any ONE of these are the reason we are shutting down. It’s the combination of it all plus a toxic business atmosphere that makes it so no one makes a paycheck because you pulled profits from something good that worked just long enough for them to say screw it and then they didn’t make it either and that’s how no one gets paid…and if you do make any jingle you can bet there’s someone with their hands out who wants more and more. I digress 😉😵🤭😁

Thank you to the thousands and thousands who have supported me and my family all these years 👏🙌🙏🙏🙏🫵🫵🤘🤘✌️💜
Toast & Grind’s last day of service will be March 3rd. Please contact the shop for orders, pm me if you are interested in equipment or catering stuffs.
As for me, I’ve actually healed and will be starting a new business doing interior and exterior, commercial and residential painting as well as several art based projects…because I can’t, I won’t, I don’t stop! ✌️

Who are we?

We are that OG FAMILY! Something the 80's threw up and the 90's didn't kill. We lay down some vicious flavors and make things that don't make sense. We got mad respect and some down ass love for this game. You got one life, so eat some damn donuts!
