It's with a heavy heart that I announce that after 2 and half years, Sky High Pizza will be closing. When we bought this shop, we wanted to provide a safe place for our kids to work and be treated respectfully while they chased their dreams and figured out their respective paths in young adulthood. I am proud to say that this has come to pass and we couldn't be more proud of our kids Savanna & Tysen, Gwen & Daniel, Max, & Zoe and Talen. Specifically, I am so proud of Savanna and Tysen, without whom, Sky High Pizza wouldn't have happened in the first place. The dedication that they both have demonstrated day after day, week after week for the last 2+ years has been nothing but inspiring and life affirming. I tend to be recognized as the figure head of the shop but the 2 most important pieces have been and will always be Tysen Todd and Savana Davis. My wife and I will be forever grateful to have been in a position to help make this pizza shop happen while they prepared to do what they are now ready to make happen: Take on the world on their own terms and succeed as we know they will.
I also can't thank Jim Garlitz, his wife Donna and son Jimmer enough for the countless favors, help, advice, knowledge and mentorship that can never be repaid. They are the sweetest people in the world and we consider them family.
Thanks also goes out to the folks who stepped in and helped along the way. Anita, Sidney, Corrina, Brody, Ashley, James, Adalyn & Sarah...thank you all!
Lastly, we want to thank all of the loyal customers that have supported us through thick and thin. We have gotten to know so many wonderful people in our community and the hardest part of this decision is knowing that we won't be here to serve you and see you all on a regular basis. In a way, it might be easier to close if it was financially motivated or we had no choice. In reality, it's just time for all of us to focus on new endeavors.
We haven't decided on an exact date yet so we encourage everyone to come in and see us this week. Grab a cheesesteak, some wings, pizza or just stop in and say hello! We genuinely love and appreciate all of you and will be running specials throughout the week... starting tonight (Monday) with 89 cent wings!!!!!
In closing, I will just say that if you know me, you know there is something new right around the corner... Stay tuned.
