Hi guys! Thank you so very much for your kind words and love! You do mean the world to us but there is one thing in our shop that we took to heart and that is kindness. We want to let you know that the reason we have to close our doors is not to stir hate or place blame on anyone. That is not what we embody as a whole. We ask that the threats and messages to the wonderful people who first gave us this opportunity (which we are truly blessed for and adore) to cease. Honestly, We are ready to get back to being a family who can truly embrace our kids growth and our growth as well. We love you but please, kindness to the people who blessed us in the first place would be the place to start. They gave us an incredible opportunity and we're with us every step of the way. They helped us make history with the BEST customers in Ohio!

Hi Everyone,
First and foremost, we would like to thank you for your support, dedication and the love you have shown to Scoops and our family. You made a dream come true and I couldn’t be anymore proud to know that we truly made a difference in this town and on Main Street for three years! We need to share with you what is taking place, so I will explain.

Scoops ran under Derick and Elaine will be closing permanently as of Friday, September 26th, 2025. As you may know the decision was not taken lightly and we will miss every single one of you! The cost to run a small business goes beyond long hours and bills. It comes with a great deal of responsibility to combat rising cost of taxes/rent and trying to figure out how high we could raise a price to cover what we need to run it. We have cut every single expenditure that we could to continue operating but have found that it is exceeding what we can afford to stay in operation. We recently made a post that we did not plan to close anytime soon, and I know this comes as a total shock! This does not mean that it is the end of Scoops Ice Cream Shoppe as we are unsure of what is in store for it, but we have peace in our hearts knowing that we have built a family outside of our own with all of you! We would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts! We truly could not have done it without any of you!

We will be selling the remainder of our food items this week until we are sold out. Ice cream with fresh waffle cones will be available for purchase until 8 p.m. on Friday.
