Two friends, who met while attending college, were side-by-side bartenders at a local eatery in Hattiesburg, MS. After college graduation, they hopped on a plane to Hawaii, and were set on “Havin’ A Good Time!” There they worked, “Had a Good Time” and began to think about their future. They dreamed of owning their own restaurant, a place where everyone would enjoy Great Food and Good Drinks in a L
ively Sports Vibe. On a wing and a prayer, and having little funds, their family and friends gathered to work alongside the two young dreamers, and in just ten days, their dream became a reality. On January 10, 2004, with an Irish Blessing from Father Tommy Conway, Mugshots was born!! They also
celebrated their Guests by decorating the walls with their photos, from all over the world, showing off their “Mugshots.” But, after all is said and done, it’s all about the experience of “Havin a Good Time” at MUGS! Sink your teeth into our award winning burgers, enjoy the drinks, and catch your favorite team’s next game! Today these principles have brought us soon to be 20 restaurants throughout four southeastern states, with many more planned. In 2017, co-founder Ron Savell purchased the entire company, with a vision of becoming “The Premier Sports Grill and Bar in the Southeast.”
