As we head into the holiday, we're writing to let you know our restaurant will be closed on Saturday, July 4, so our staff can enjoy time off to celebrate Independence Day with friends and family. We are incredibly grateful for the wonderful support and loyalty you have shown our business throughout the entire year, and we truly appreciate each and every one of you who chooses to dine with us. Good morning, Hideaway Pizza fans. As we approach Memorial Day weekend, we want to pause and express our deepest gratitude to all those who have served our country. We are immensely thankful for their courage, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication, which have allowed us to enjoy the freedoms we cherish. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to every service member, both past and present, who has bravely defended our nation. We also remember and honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice, and we offer our sincere condolences and support to their families who have endured unimaginable loss. America 250 Celebration and Parade Postponed

Crestview, FL – The countywide America 250 Celebration and Parade scheduled for Saturday, May 9, 2026, has been postponed in anticipation of severe weather. This decision was made in coordination with the Okaloosa County Department of Emergency Management to ensure the safety of all participants and attendees.

The celebration and parade have been postponed. At this time, there is no set date yet. Additional details will be provided as the new date approaches. Registered participants, vendors, and volunteers will receive direct communication from our Special Events Coordinator with rescheduling information and directions.

The Okaloosa County America 250 Commission was founded by resolution of the Okaloosa County Board of County Commissioners on Jan. 20, 2026, to support efforts to provide meaningful activities to the citizens and visitors of Okaloosa County throughout the 2026 calendar year to celebrate the founding of the United States of America, designated as the “America 250 Celebration Year.” The Commission is made up of 18 members that include: President of the Sons of the American Revolution (Chairman), Regent of the Daughters of the American Revolution Choctawhatchee Bay Chapter, representative of the West Florida Daughters of the American Revolution, Director of the Tourist Development Department, Representative of the Okaloosa County School District, representative of the Florida State Historical Commission, one representative of each chamber of commerce, one mayor as designated by the League of Cities, one general from the U.S. military, representative of the Krewe of Billy Bowlegs, President of the NAACP, District Commissioner of the Choctawhatchee District of the Gulf Coast Council of Scouting America and five members appointed, by County Commissioners (one each). The Commission will operate through Jan. 31, 2027.
