This light and refreshing Thai Noodle Salad , It is perfect for a fresh-flavoured summer dinner. The flavours are bright and refreshing, slightly spicy, ideal to tempt a jaded appetite. It is naturally gluten-free and there is no added fat.

Hello everyone!!! Sorry for posting late , let’s see if these works this week...Judys special for Friday 7/1/22 will be beef Cuban Picadillo served with fried plantains and Congri (refried rice and beans Cuban style) and now a little history on these delicious dish. Picadillo is usually made up of chopped up meat (usually ground beef), a tomato sauce base, raisins, green olives, lots of spices. While it varies from country to country, this is more of a Cuban style. You can make this dish with ground beef,chicken or pork… I will be making it ground beef and as you all know I will be making this recipe my way with my very own unique flavors. The flautas are topped with a cabbage salad guacamole sour cream and cheese.

Good evening everyone!! It’s official summer is here and it’s getting very hot very fast. THIS WEEKS JUDYS SPECIAL ITS GOING TO BE WEDNESDAY 6/24/22 . This weeks special is BEEF BANH MI BOWL!! It’s going to be perfect with this brutal heat we are experiencing at the time, we need to keep fresh!! Now a little history on this delicious sandwich that I will be making into a bowl. This delicious sandwich was Introduced to Vietnam 130 yrs ago by the colonial French, the baguette was later adapted for local taste. The richness and flavors of the meat, and the tartness and sourness from the lightly pickled veggies and the white rice and herbs and finally the creamy sauce on top makes it an outstandingly delicious meal.
This bowl will have sautéed steak, white rice, lightly pickled carrots cucumbers radishes onions , fresh cilantro and topped with a delicious sauce on top . The meal is 20.95 +tax.

Good evening everyone!! Hoping that everyone it’s coping with the heat, for sure summer has arrived. Friday Judy’s special 6/17/22 is CHICKEN MOLE, as it’s known MOLE it’s a delicious Mexican dish but I will be putting my unique spin on it. The mole will be served with Spanish fried rice and home made corn tortillas. The servings are for one person and is 20.95+tax . Now here is a little history on it. Making mole is a time-consuming labor of love, usually reserved for special occasion’s.

There are many legends surrounding the invention of mole. One alleges that a convent in Puebla created the dish in a panic from what few ingredients they had, due to the impending visit of an archbishop. It went down a treat served up with roasted turkey. Other tales suggest that several spices accidentally got mixed up, and thus mole was born. A further story dates back to Mesoamerica, when Moctezuma served it to Cortés when he arrived to Mexico, mistakenly thinking he was a god. Either way, the origins will likely remain a mystery, given that the first written recipes for mole only came into existence after the War of Independence in 1810. Now a little history on this delicious dish. This is what I found In 1956 Pork Steaks were
invented by Winfred E. Steinbruegge of Florissant, MO in 1956 [SEE NOTE BELOW!] in honor of the birth of his youngest son, Mark W. Steinbruegge. Winfred asked Tom Brandt of Tomboy grocery stores, to cut a pork butt into steaks that could be grilled. NOW As you know I will be giving this dish my own unique flavors. Yum 😋.

Good morning everyone!
I would like to announce Friday Special 6/10/22. I will be making Swedish meatballs and here is a little history on this delicious meal. This iconic meatballs actually originate from Turkey . The Swedish meatballs are based on a recipe King Charles XII brought from turkey in early 18th century. I will be making Swedish beef meatballs with a thick creamy sauce and served with buttery garlic mashed potatoes and a arugula strawberry walnut salad with a strawberry vinaigrette.
