We've had a few messages from parents asking if there child is old enough at 14, 15 or 16 years old for this cook position we have available. Here's how we would answer that often asked question. If your child is able to make dinner for your family of 4 by themselves, they're probably ready to cook at the pace we make food. Have them make spaghetti with meat sauce and garlic bread and a meatball sandwich. That's what they will be doing for us, but for 4 to 6 hours, and for 60 or 80 people. Hope that helps determine if they're ready. 😃

Just a quick update to those interested in the kitchen/cook opening we will be filling. We now have an online application that you can fill out. If you didn't get one (we had texts, messages on fb and messages on the post itself.....we're hoping we didn't miss anyone, but if we did miss you), message us on Facebook messenger and we will send you the application. Also, we will be going through the applications after Tuesday October 13th. Thanks for your patience and we look forward to sitting down with some of the people interested in helping out!

If you missed our post regarding the opening, its for the weekend....so 1 or 2 of either Friday/Saturday or Sunday. If you're not available those days, this opening isn't for you. :)

Minimum pay is $18 per hr, more if you're available more and/or experienced and fun.

Threw a few pics of our father's (in-law) place at the end, where all these recipes came from! Still open today, since 1964 (62 years), miss you Pops! That's Pops making pizzas with Jesse Haase and our friend Robert Bellinger a few years back!

We have enough applicants to choose from, thanks for everyone that reached out, we will be going through the texts and messages this week and hopefully hold some interviews the following week.

We are going to have an opening in the engine room (kitchen). Can you make a sandwich, spaghetti, maybe a pizza? Hit us up. Looking to fill 2 of the 3 weekend evenings, short shifts....4:30 till 8 or 9pm? Minimum pay is $18, more if you're "that person". :) Not every weekend and can be one shift a week if that's all you want. Fun crew, Air Conditioned kitchen, although won't be needed soon here haha. If one of our current staff finds a friend to help out, and you train them, $200 cash bonus! 😎😎

When you are served "Garlic Bread" at Materos, what you are getting is this. Locally baked bread for us, REAL butter, and granulated garlic lightly sprinkled on top, then toasted in our oven! We DO NOT use any fake, imitation, low cost, make you p**p unexpectedly butter substitute! Bread gets a bad rap these days, so if you're gonna eat it, we're gonna make it simple and what we believe is the right way! That is all for now....eat some bread, a piece or two won't kill ya. 😁

Mom's Day! This Sunday....Jumbo Shrimp Dinner. Kitchen says offer sautéed Shrimp as well, I said ok! Lightly battered or Sautéed - sides include Alfredo, French fries Spaghetti or Potato salad, warm garlic bread too cause why not! Full menu too. And if you see our daughter Katie waiting tables this weekend, tell her you want Mexican Egg Rolls again, she makes em for us! :) Sorry Katie. 🤣🤣
