When Smokey D’s BBQ & Soul Food began, it was built on faith, sacrifice, family, and a dream. What started as us stepping out on faith has grown into something bigger than food — it has become purpose, community, and legacy.
This journey has stretched me, shaped me, and grown me.
And with growth comes becoming.
Today, I’m proud to share that we are stepping into a new chapter as Fire & Soul Kitchen 🔥❤️
This rebrand is about more than a new name. It reflects who we are becoming — and the legacy we are building together as a Black mother-daughter team in barbecue, something powerful, meaningful, and still far too rare.
In an industry where our story isn’t often centered, we are proud to bring not only bold flavor and soulful food, but a story of family, faith, and generational vision.
Fire represents passion, courage, and the flame behind this dream.
Soul represents heart, heritage, and the love poured into every plate.
And together, they represent legacy.
What started as my vision is now becoming our vision — a business we are building side by side, rooted in culture, community, and excellence.
This isn’t leaving Smokey D’s behind — it’s honoring the road that brought us here while embracing where we’re going.
