ADVERSITY BREEDS INNOVATION!! Corona times gave the culinary team behind two of Texas’ most acclaimed pizzerias (Cane Rosso & Zoli’s Pizza), time to experiment with a style of pizza that they knew and loved from some of their favorite pizza joints in the US, but didn’t have easy access to in Dallas, TX. With takeout and delivery being the only viable source of business during a global pandemic, Thunderbird Pies launched as a delivery-only Detroit-style pizza joint based in North Dallas. With recipes and technique from World Pizza Champion, Lee Hunzinger, and ex*****on and logistics from Chef Jeff Bekavac, Thunderbird Pies is here to deliver Detroit-style pies to Dallas.
